To keep the 10th anniversary celebration rocking, trendy international retailer Opening Ceremony announced it will release a collectible fashion and culture magazine titled OC Annual this August. Founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim stated each issue will center on a theme with the debut publication focused on the world of sports in honor of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Having already lined up renowned photographers Bruce Weber, Walter Pfeiffer, Todd Cole and Tim Barber for the issue, Lim mentioned, “As magazine fanatics, O.C. founder Humberto Leon and myself are aiming to create a collectible publication for a new generation, something beautiful and special in the vein of Benetton’s ‘Colors,’ Comme des Garçons’ ‘Six’ and Joe McKenna’s ‘Joe.’ We want to make a magazine that will appeal to kids in Nebraska as much as industry people.” Unfortunately, OC will publish only 30,000 copies of this August publication, so stay tuned for additional release information as this will surely be a piece you’ll want on your coffee table for quite some time.

Opening Ceremony has announced plans for its first European venture with a pop-up shop opening in Covent Garden in London just before the 2012 Olympics. Opening Ceremony London will stock the retailer’s own ready-to-wear and accessories as well as collections from designers including Kenzo, Maison Michel, Toga and Rodarte. Also included will be the debut of the collaboration between Opening Ceremony and adidas. Special products have also been exclusively made available by brands including Proenza Schouler, Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony, Norma Kamali, Band of Outsiders, Delfina Delettrez, Christopher Shannon, Pamela Love, Kitsuné, Sunspel and Patrik Ervell. The 3,000-square-foot temporary store will open in July at 31-32 King Street. Following the Olympics, the pop-up will close in the fall and be replaced by a larger store at 35 King Street.

Has it already been ten years since New York’s Opening Ceremony first opened their doors? To commemorate the milestone, they’re releasing a 10th Anniversary Book with Rizzoli Publishing filled with archived images and stories of business plans, projects and memories along the way. Hundreds of friends of the label have contributed to the collection, including Alexander Wang, M.I.A., Jason Schwartzman and Terry Richardson — just to name a few. Parisian-based BWGH recently joined New York retailer Opening Ceremony on a capsule collection of lightweight Spring/Summer 2012 sweaters. Combining the French sensibilities of BWGH with the contemporary and authentic New York aesthetic of Opening Ceremony, the sweaters are a sophisticated and stylish option for fashion-forward menswear this season. It is offered in three colorways – yellow, blue and grey – with each adorned using knit text across the chest that reads “Opening Ceremony Parle Francais,” a gentle reminder of the two names involved in this collaborative effort. The BWGH x Opening Ceremony Capsule Collection will be available exclusively at Opening Ceremony New York, Ace Hotel, Los Angeles and Tokyo.

The entirety of the Opening Ceremony 2012 fall/winter collection is now available for previewing. Emphasizing durable fabrics including wools, nylons and mohair across a selection of semi-formal styles, the selection also features lightweight boxer Eric Ramos as the model and Todd Jordan behind the lens. Standout items include camouflage button-ups and jackets, a navy varsity-style jacket with contrasting red collar, and several satisfying overcoat options. Expect to start seeing this collection in stores starting in August.

Iconic American brand Gitman Brothers has teamed up once again with Opening Ceremony to present a range of button-up shirts for Spring/Summer 2012. An amalgam of flamboyant designs and bold colors find their way onto a selection of poplin and madras shirts. Each piece from the assortment is made with a choice selection of premium materials and quality construction. The shirts are now available with a retail price of $175 USD through the Opening Ceremony online shop.

Opening Ceremony unveils a series of visuals presenting their most recent collection with American actress and “it girl” Chloë Sevigny. A followup to their prior projects, this new capsule collection is actualized with part unisex arrangement of clothing, leading to a chic streetwear theme. Standout pieces from the range are the ones that are heavily detailed by some animal prints and word graphics, which include various tops and cropped shorts. The capsule line is now available at Opening Ceremony.

Pendleton retains its ties with Opening Ceremony to release a capsule range of warm garments this season. Keeping a hold of Pendleton’s outstanding design aesthetic, the range is distinctive on account of the Navajo kaleidoscopic prints and plaid patterns applied throughout. Comprised of various outerwear and functional pieces including pea coat, biker-inspired jacket, cardigan and buttoned shirt, the Pendleton Meets Opening Ceremony 2011 Fall/Winter Collection is now available at select retailers, including I.T Hysan.

Congruent with their recent Dark Side Rotten 11 Dalmatian Leopard collaboration, New York-based retailer Opening Ceremony and Italian footwear brand Forfex introduce the Dalmatian Sneaker. The shoe’s upper is covered in a faux-dalmatian pelage and is mocked up in an expected white and black colorway. A low-profile rubber outsole culminates at the shoe’s anterior with a thin white-capped toe box. The silhouette finishes off its svelte, contemporary appeal with tonal white tube laces. Available exclusively through Opening Ceremony, the Forfex Dalmation Sneaker retails for $225 USD.

The close relationship between famed designer Terence Koh and Opening Ceremony evolves into the pair’s latest project, a three-way collaboration resulting in this Forfex Furry Moon Boot. The shoe is draped in layers of snow-white faux fur supported by a white crater outsole. The boot’s unorthodox and contemporary style incorporates a primitive modus with the use of white laces that wrap around the foot akin to moccasin bindings. Now available for $250 USD through Opening Ceremony.
