Nike Skateboarding is pleased to announce the launch of the new Nike Omar Salazar LR signature model. To celebrate the launch of the shoe, they created a new science fiction-inspired short written by and starring Omar. Part 1 is offered above, with part 2 coming in 2012. The story is “to be continued”- how do you think it should end?

On October 28, a special early release party was held at PLA Skateboarding in Folsom, California as Nike SB skater Omar Salazar released his new signature sneaker, now dubbed the LR. The shoe, which is an update to the original Omar Salazar Pro Model, features a mid-cut design and is most distinguishable from its older brother by the slimmed down appearance. The party hosted a number of guests, including some guys from Atlas Skateboards, and featured an autograph session from Salazar. The Nike SB Omar Salazar LR is set to drop on November 1 for $75 USD.

Nike SB tease their latest venture into film with the unveiling of their trailer for the film Chosen. The video looks to involve three high-profile Nike SB skaters in Paul Rodriguez, Theotis Beasley and Omar Salazar as they skate highly-stylized street landscapes including ample amounts of mood lights and smoke. An official release is slated for June 2, 2011.

Fresh for October, Nike SB release a new colorway of the signature shoe, Zoom Omar Salazar. With subtle retro cues, the Zoom Omar Salazar features a cushioned heel area as well as Flywire in the heel and midfoot for increased support without any added bulk or weight. The Nike SB Zoom Omar Salazar “Night Fall” is available now at select Nike SB retailers including Kasina.

Blending the visual design of classic skate sneakers with the technological advances afforded by Nike, a new colorway of the Nike SB signature Omar Salazar has hit select retailers. The Yellow Ochre – Del Sol colorway features a mostly yellow upper with a tonal midsection and visible Flywire technology. Available now at Kasina.

Nike SB follows up its Dinosaur Jr. Dunk High from 2007 with a second pair of kicks paying tribute to the band, this time shown on the newly released Zoom Omar Salazar. The kicks take on a glittery synthetic upper which plays perfectly off the outer space theme developed for the Flywire-infused design. The kicks are now available through select Nike SB accounts, including Premier.

From inception up until the San Franciscan launch event, the clip allows Nike designer James Arizumi and Omar himself, to detail the origins of the shoe’s technology, design and what it means for Omar to get his own SB model. The latest releases from Nike SB come in the form of two graphic tees referencing back to its team rider Omar Salazar, who just launched his new signature sneaker. The designs include a portrait broken arm tee as well as a tee playing off the outer space theme for the sneaker, which also revolves around Omar’s nickname, “Outer Space.” Both can now be found through Nike SB retailers.

Featured within last night’s Omar Salazar launch event in San Francisco were upcoming colorways in the latest Nike SB signature shoe. The Zoom Omar Salazar adds yet another distinguished design to the roster, blending classic styling with Nike’s Flywire technology. Highlights include a brown leather version as well as a selection of suede options, all falling in line with the two recent drops. Look for these colorways to make their way into SB accounts in the coming months.
