We gave you a preview of the Dunk Electric by Jun Matsui and Nike here, now let us show you some pictures from the launch event and take a closer look at the shoes itself. It seems that the left and right shoe uses different shoelaces, one gold and the other brown. Overall, the shoes give off a very natural vibe, being covered with brown leather and shown off on a tree trunk podium.

The May 31st release of the Concepts x Nike SB Lobster Dunk Low was met by a large crowd of eager sneakerheads and obvious resellers. In one of the most comprehensive packaging executions in recent memory, a large number of relevant accessories were included which worked out perfectly with the Rob Heppler designed Lobster motif. A look here reveals the special box set gifted to the first 50 buyers. Within a special wooden crate style box also included Concepts own box design and an accessories set which included a lobster shell cracker, a fork, a bib, an extra set of butter yellow laces, keychain, wet naps and shirts. With the set instantly sold out, your only option lies through 3rd party mediums.

Famed tattoo artist, Jun Matsui, collaborated with Nike on the Dunk Electric. This model, honoring the centennial of Japanese immigration to Brazil, is designed with both cultures in mind and the two strongest influences in Jun's life, the cangaco and the samurai. The shoe comes in brown leather with gold accents and shoelaces. A mouse, controversial animal in Brazil while popularly adored in Japan, is embroidered in gold on the tongue. There will only be 400 pairs of these Dunk Electrics made, 300 for the Brazilian market and 100 for the Japanese market. Each pair will come with an illustration signed by Jun Matsui.

Yesterday saw the unveiling of a series of new products under the newly relaunched Nike Sportswear division. Among the products were a one piece Dunk High featuring a series of pixels forming the outline of the upper and Swoosh. Antenna Magazine has provided a more comprehensive look into the collection. We've seen a strong theme involving by-products of the number '8' including liberal use of the octagon. In relation with the Beijing Olympics and the Chinese population, number 8 is a symbol of large significance indicating prosperity. No word yet on a release date.

Allegedly part of the latest Euro Champ Pack of sneakers from Nike inspired by various soccer nations, this latest Nike Dunk High draws reference to the infamous samba boys of Brazil in their iconic yellow/green colorway. But obvious geographical differences all but ensures that Brazil won't be on hand for Euro 2008, co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland. This particular Brazilian inspired release seems like a suitable contemporary update to previous Brazil Dunks seen in the past. Available now at LTD-Online.
Joining a strong line up of artists, Raymond Pettibon was among the few select artists chosen to work with UNDFTD on their popular billboard project. Although his opportunity was a few years ago, Pettibon did two custom pairs of Dunk Highs in black/blue and black/red colorways with extensive box art especially for UNDFTD's Eddie Cruz embodying the same art work gracing the billboards. Seen on the internet for the first time, the sneakers showcase the meaning behind Pettibon's work.
