Late last year, Nike and sporting retailer Foot Locker opened the doors to the House of Hoops, effectively creating a one-stop shop for all things basketball. With Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse all under one roof, this exclusive store has become the launch point of some special products. Two upcoming Dunk High releases include Evil Kneivel and the NY Giants. Evel Knievel, known far and wide for his daredevil antics is featured on a white Dunk High, which includes red accents and stars around the heels. The NY Giants Dunk High is a tribute to the former basketball team which operated between 1885-1957. The colorway matches the same uniforms as worn by the Giants.

Nike is set to release a "Be True City Collection" to commemorate the Nike Dunk. Seven cities will see a paltry 86 pairs of their city specific colorway released. Nike seem to have actually chosen some quality rich leathers. Aside from the black upper and gum sole, the colorways are only distinguishable by their tags and laces. No word yet on availability.

We're probably only in the first phase of the Nike Dunk Be True campaign and we've already seen a ton of news coming from Nike. Here's the latest news where Nike has created a really cool Dunk Locker for the seven pairs of the "Be True to Your School" Dunks. Unfortunately, unless you're really close with Nike, you probably won't be able to get one of these but there's hope. Rumor has it that these will be given away as a lucky draw at one of the Dunk events in South East Asia.

In the past, Nike has released socks which were inspired by their Nike SB Dunks including the "Homer" Dunks and the "Pigeon" Dunks. Now, Nike has just released some Nike Dunk socks where two colorways are available. They are available only in Asia though.

This is Nike will be pushing their Dunk campaign pretty hard. We have seen it already with events at some of the most respectable stores around the world. They have also launched some of their original Dunks in vintage colorways. Nike has also created a website dedicated to the Dunk which has just been updated with new content which includes a Manga (a Japanese styled comic) about the Dunk as well as a listing of the Dunks released so far this year. You'll probably hear more of Dunk campaign this year so keep your eyes and ears open for more news.
