In collaborating alongside Briefing as well as Beauty & Youth, New Balance presents an intricate capsule collection, which is comprised of three items. The featured footwear is the brand’s 1700 silhouette, which highlights a suede and nylon composition and is set off with a pair of red laces. The “Easy Wire” and the “Minipoddo” bags feature a matching suede material choice, while red accents have also been implemented throughout. The full collection is now available through ZOZO.

Japanese street label Nitraid link up with New Balance to produce a new pair of the brand’s CM1700. The kicks follow a simple black/white colorway with reflective details throughout the heel and mesh uppers. The kicks look to release next month, directly through Nitraid with a retail price of ¥16,800 (Approx. $202 USD).

A collection drawing its inspiration from the early 80′s, New Balance is set to release a LIMITED EDITION CM1700 running shoe. Fittingly named “the atmosphere” the shoe is set to be released on Saturday May 29th and offered in complementary blue and gray colourways. Both releases feature tightly woven mesh materials, processed piping, reproduced zig zag stitch button as well as reproduction of the tongue. Both pairs will see a very limited store run releasing on May 29th.

A longtime purveyor of sporting goods, the Japanese division of OSHMAN’s teams up with New Balance on a special “sports meets style”-inspired version of the 1700. The shoe’s upper combines premium black upper with a white rip-stop nylon. This latest version of the OSHMAN’S x New Balance 1700 will release next month as a celebration of OSHMAN’s 25th anniversary.

New Balance works up a special limited edition makeup of its 1700 model for Japanese brand Urban Research iD. The kicks feature a simple colorup, boasting black suede uppers with white and tiffany-colored accents. An official launch is set for early May 2010 via Urban Research iD.

In three-way collaboration, New Balance has joined forces with Japanese retailer mita sneakers and Japanese label Victim. Working on the 1700 model, the project has resulted in a gentle cream/grey/navy colorway which will form part of Victim’s Spring/Summer line for this year. The shoe features a Victim signature on the insole and is limited to just 600 pieces. All those interested can purchase from today, over at Arknets.co.jp.

One of Japan’s premiere large-scale retailers, Beauty & Youth has created a collection of New Balance 1700 models, a shoe originally conceived back in 1999. The shoe marks B&Y’s 20th anniversary and comes in two suede versions and a leather version. Aesthetically, no surprises here as the collection is a pretty accurate representation of the brands and designs of Beauty & Youth’s brand list and in-house brand. New Balance has slowly but surely been making in-roads on a greater level as it has made its way onto the feet of both Pharrell and Kanye West within the last few months. New Balance presents two new CM1700s for the fall/winter season. The limited edition releases come in two different flavors, a black leather style and a brown nubuck one as well. The rather technical-looking CM1700 was originally released in the early 90s and also boasts technologies such as New Balance’s ABZORB cushioning system. They will be releasing at JOURNAL STANDARD.

Continuing on with their 10th anniversary collection, Swedish sneaker retailer Sneakersnstuff unveil their latest collaboration involving New Balance. Taking form as the RGB pack, the three-shoe capsule features three distinct models designed in Stockholm and produced in New Balance’s well-known Flimby Factory. High end contemporary retailer United Arrows once again team up with New Balance on a special collection of running sneakers. This time around, they take the historic CM1500 and CM1700 models and re-produced them in their original colorways with upgraded material choices. The kicks will be made available in very limited quantities on May 23rd, 2009 via United Arrows locations in Japan.
