Here’s a look at MIHARAYASUHIRO’s new advertising campaign for Fall/Winter 2011. A departure from Mihara’s hyper creative aesthetic, the ad features models in rugged yet tailored shearlings and fur hooded coats. The campaign was shot by photographer Paolo Roversi and features model Vladimir Averyanov.

Chapel of Dawn and renowned designer Mihara Yasuhiro team up to develop a set of leopard print sneakers. Initially spotted last month, the shoes will officially see a release on March 3 via THINK SILLY in Hong Kong. Crafted from a mix of pony hair and chenille-like uppers, the shoes come in two colorways, each featuring a printed leopard print with heel zip details and the quality one would expect from a Mihara Yasuhiro design. Retail for the sneakers is set at $3,980 HKD (approx. $511 USD).

Silly Thing founder TK fills us in on his latest collaborative project, this time working with Japanese fashion designer Mihara Yasuhiro and his label MIHARAYASUHIRO. No stranger to sneaker design, Yasuhiro has become well-known for his continued role with PUMA and their footwear program. This latest project finds Mihara bringing his talents to the other side of the pond, as both creatives develop a pair of half-zip sneakers in a leopard print motif, capped off with a leather toecap and off-white laces. No further information is available at the moment but stay tuned.

Japanese designer Mihara Yasuhiro’s eponymous label focused on his love of contrast throughout this latest collection. The creation of new silhouettes derived from classic styles were apparent, as well as the the ability to inject his own take on cable knitted pieces. Going further, cable knit prints offered a modern aesthetic through several stunning pieces.

Having built a solid reputation for producing quality footwear designs, most notably alongside PUMA, Japanese designer Mihara Yasuhiro unveils this new orange lined boot as part of his MIHARAYASUHIRO label. Fusing your classic work boot silhouette with characteristics of a rain boot, this latest release translates Yasuhiro’s vision seamlessly over a black suede upper complimented with a roll-top motif and vibrant orange serving as its contrast counterpart. Priced at ￥55,650 (approx. $672 USD), these can now be purchased directly via Restir.

MIHARAYASUHIRO and London Husam el Odeh team-up in the design of an unorthodox pair of sunglasses. The eyewear maintains a traditional style made of 100% Perspex however the point of interest within the sunglasses involve the cut away portion on the bottom. The lenses are seen in a gradient purple shade. Available now at Browns.

The ongoing MIHARAYASUHIRO for PUMA collection continues with the unveiling of the MY-51. The sneaker features a bit of a MIHARAYASUHIRO for PUMA signature with a split in the tooling between the forefoot and heel. A patent leather upper combines with a thick strap on a similar note to some of PUMA’s racing-based footwear options. Branding can be seen with both PUMA’s block logo and a silver stud. An ad campaign for Japanese brand’s MIHARAYASUHIRO’s 2010-2011 fall/winter collection surfaces. Incorporating a series of notable patterns into the collection, they can be seen over suits and jackets. The Spring/Summer 2011 previews keep coming as well get a look into the upcoming collection from designer Mihara Yasuhiro, through his eponymous label MIHARAYASUHIRO. Telling a story through these looks, the Japanese designer was able to captivate with his take on the wild outdoors, keyed by his unique image transfer technique, seen on a couple of coat designs. They started with the vintage look of aged sweatshirts, cardigans with pulls, patched denims, trompe l’oeil shirts knotted around waists, and artfully constructed shorts. Jeweler Husam el Odeh covered a distressed sweatshirt with tiny pieces of domestic hardware like keys and bolts, turning them into fetish objects of a world left behind. Outerwear for our pilgrim’s trip into the wild impressively included fatigues in a camouflage pattern composed of flowers (Rei Kawakubo managed a similar illusion with her skulls yesterday). His return to society was anticipated by sophisticated pieces that looked printed but were actually woven, as in a coat with the image of a tree, using a technique that Yasuhiro himself invented. Then, with Paris twinkling in silhouette, came a parade of urban tailoring (though the pilgrim wore fringed suede boots with his suit, still a frontiersman at heart).

Japan’s highly regarded fashion magazine men’s FUDGE has featured a striking editorial titled “BEST TOPS for SPRING”. The looks styled by Marutani Naofumi and photographed by Tokumaru Junichiro bring the lineup of lightweight garments from Black Fleece by Brooks Bothers, Lad Musician, Burberry Prorsum, Dior Homme, Paul Smith, Givenchy, Ann Demeulemeester and Mihara Yasuhiro to life this season. The pieces exemplify smart form and careful craftsmanship, which make each look a great template for various styles this Spring/Summer.
