From it’s original inception on a skate deck, the Screaming Hand can be seen as a toy as well as the concept transformed into different forms such as the Screaming Leg figure. Legendary skateboard graphic artist Jim Phillips has teamed up with the crew at Made by Monsters to produce another collaborative effort. The trucker cap includes an exaggerated shape with an embroidered Jim Phillips Eyeball logo. This Signature Series cap is limited to 50 pieces worldwide.
For those familiar with Jim Philips’ work, he has established himself as one of the most iconic and well known graphic designers of his generation within the skate and surf scene. While previous collaborations have resulted in a Screaming Hand figure, Beams and Medicom Toy teamed up to produce a Screaming Leg figure which holds similar characteristics to the Screaming Hand design with the exception of more personified figure, possessing both limbs and a surfboard. Earlier this year toy-makers Made By Monsters teamed up with the legendary graphic artist Jim Phillips on a figure depicting Jim Phillips’ classic 1985 skateboard art, The Screaming Hand. The Screaming Hand in figure form is back again, this time with a reverse colorway from the original blue hand. Screaming Red will be available early December 2007 with a retail price of $100 USD. Pre-orders are currently accepted via the Garagework Industries.
