Southern California-based J.Augur Design presents a selection of new bags from its range of vintage-style creations for Spring 2010. Offered are various patchwork pieces in several sizes and styles, each done up in J.Augur’s traditional ethnic-inspired aesthetic. All are now available via Anout Commune.

California-based J.Augur Design presents a selection of new bags from their range of vintage-infused creations. This latest range consists of a couple of patchwork bags including a hand piece and shoulder version alongside a scarf following the same design motif. All are created by founder/designer Judith Augur and are now available at select J.Augur retailers, including Lost Hills Japan.

Based out of California, bag designer Judith Augur began her company J.Augur in 2004, wanting to create something new out of the old, essentially. Combining vintage materials including leather, canvas and denim while incorporating small details such as stenciling, beads and remnants, she sets forth her personal design aesthetics to create something very unique in the industry. For the fall/winter 2008 collection, the base inspiration is vintage Satillo textiles from Mexican descent. Rather than creating something specific for the market, the pieces are like an introduction into an ancient culture mixing in modern California with a deep understanding of timeless design.
