Following up on our video interview with Keith Hufnagel regarding the latest addition to his powerhouse brand with a new LA opening, we offer a glimpse into some new pieces releasing from the label. In what we liken as a similar move with another popular skate/lifestyle brand, HUF's game has really stepped up in recent memory to reflect a Supreme-esque movement with an interesting mix of refined pieces and provocative graphic t-shirts. This past Saturday was the opening of the new HUF store in the Fairfax area in Los Angeles. The store's decor which includes the plywood blocky furniture is much inspired by Huf's roots - skateboarding. The store carries only HUF branded products including t-shirts, denim, caps and jackets. Even in this weak state of economy, it seems that the power of streetwear cannot be stopped. HUF, the famed San Francisco streetwear/skate retailer started by Keith Hufnagel, is expanding its empire and will be opening their 5th location in Los Angeles this Saturday, May 31st. Among the special grand opening items are a series of t-shirts created with none other then Stussy and the special Satin SK8-HIs seen recently. Check out the new store if you're around the area. On the horizon from HUF is an upcoming collection of classic SK-8 HIs. The uppers appear to be produced with satin with some nice contrasting colors in the mix. Among San Francisco's institutions, HUF is releasing some new pieces as part of their spring/summer collection.
