With Marvel’s The Avengers currently breaking box office records worldwide, Hong Kong’s Hot Toys is set to introduce a line of 1/6 scale figures based on the film, including villainous god LOKI, Thor’s archenemy and adoptive brother. Played by actor Tom Hiddleston in the film, you can expect the Hot Toy’s depiction to feature the brand’s usual high-quality detailing and construction. Look for the figure to drop soon alongside the other Avengers characters in limited quantities.

Hong Kong-based toy brand Hot Toys continue on with their Iron Man licensed figures. Set at 1/6th the authentic height, Iron Man’s Mark V costume is the focus of this release. Highly accurate in its reproduction, the super hero includes LED lighting on the eyes and arms, interchangeable extremities and a suitcase. The figure also boasts a stand and nameplate for display.

Hot Toys unveil an upcoming licensed figure created for the TRON: LEGACY franchise. While the movie is set for a December launch, the toy release slated for the second half of 2011 features main character Sam Flynn riding his iconic Light Cycle. Accurate in its depiction, the figure was sculpted by Jeon Young Tae and hand-painted by JC Hong. The figure comes complete with accessories including interchangeable leg parts and removable helmet.

Hot Toys presents its 1/6th scale Mark VI Limited Edition Collectible Figurine from the Iron Man 2 movie. The movie-accurate Mark VI collectible is highly detailed and fully deployed, specially crafted based on the image of Robert Downey Jr. as the iconic character Mark VI in the movie. Features include a newly sculpted head, light-up functions, well equipped armor, battle damaged additional parts and extra special figure stand surrounded by damaged navy drone. An official release is scheduled for the latter part of 2010, early 2011. Stay tuned.

Hong Kong-based toy brand Hot Toys recently kicked off an exhibition in line with the highly anticipated Iron Man 2 movie which released at the conclusion of last month. The exhibition invited a number of regional artists and designers to re-appropriate Hot Toys’ realistically reproduced 1:6 Mark III Iron Man figure. The list of artists and designers include Anthony Mestas, Bernardo Esquivel, Heath Hammond and Mr Jesse Lincoln from Sideshow Collectibles, Japanese designers Peiper and Kaz, Korean painter Lalla and local designers from Hong Kong including Elphonso Lam, Eric So, Kenny Wong, William Tsang and Winson Ma among others. To cap off the exhibition, a 1:1 scale War Machine statue was also incorporated into the exhibition which runs until the end of the week at the Miramar Shopping Mall in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.

It is specially produced based on the image of the well-received character War Machine in the movie, which is presented in fine sculpture, highlighting the light-up functions and highly-detailed weapon. Paying tribute to the King of Pop, premier vinyl specialists Hot Toys work up a new set of Michael Jackson figures, showcasing the masterful work exhibited on his famous Thriller music video. The figures will come in a 1/6 scale, featuring all the intricate details one would come to expect from a Hot Toys release. A launch is set for December 2009 with a suggest retail price tag of ¥24,000 (Approx. $255 USD).
