Since it’s unveiling Nike’s NSW collection has established itself as a distinguished benchmark in the industry. The use of organic fabrics, innovation cycle, and water treatment technology used on the garments are a nod to Nike’s design department. Furthering that pedestal is the latest AW77 collection entitled “Game Changer”. Embodying the notion of a game changer, NSW’s latest drop is highlighted through individuals that personify the phrase and are pioneers and influencers in the fashion and music scene.

This past weekend, SOPH. founder Hirofumi Kiyonaga officially cut the proverbial ribbon to his first location outside of Japan on a busy Hong Kong street. For the past ten years, he has helmed the SOPH. network of brands that have included his flagship SOPHNET., the football-minded F.C.R.B. together with Nike and uniform experiment, a brand created with friend Hiroshi Fujiwara. An immediate demeanor of subtly, the soft-spoken Kiyonaga and Fujiwara sat down for a conversation regarding both Kiyonaga’s work with his three brands as well as his efforts on uniform experiment label with Fujiwara. For the brand who’s named is derived from the word sophistication, this interview sheds the proper light on the man behind some a seminal series of brands.

Hirofumi Kiyonaga adorns a few pages of a spread for this month’s issue of Sense Magazine, outfitted in a few articles of his own clothing. Sophnet., F.C.R.B and uniform experiment provide the gear, Kiyonaga the laidback sense of style and they all come together to showcase what the three brands have in store for us a little later on.

Hirofumi Kiyonaga’s F.C. Real Bristol continue their relationship with Nike, and have collaborated to design this latest selection of apparel. As always, F.C.R.B. merchandise is football-centric, though this run seems to take a step toward beach-football, with items including flip-flops, shorts and t-shirts among other summer-centric items. The highlight is the liquid, tri-color camo, which appears in two color variations on a hoody, a t-shirt and a scarf.

Tai Hachiro (泰八郎), a well known eyewear craftsman from Japan, is known for making high quality thick framed glasses. He has previously worked with brands such as Number (N)ine and Neighborhood on several collaboration projects. The latest feature on Honeyee takes a look at the recently released Tai Hachiro (泰八郎) x uniform experiment sunglasses. In this feature, uniform experiment’s creative director, Hirofumi Kiyonaga, also talks about his thoughts working with Tai Hachiro but unfortunately the interview is only in Japanese.

The glasses are now available for 35,700 Yen.

It looks like Stussy has decided to team up with some lead designers and creative people in Japan including the likes of Hiroshi Fujiwara for different models of glasses. Here’s the Kiyonga Model which is made for Soph.‘s new Osaka store. Hirofumi Kiyonaga is Sophnet. and F.C.R.B’s creative director. These brands are considered some of the top streetwear brands in Japan. Three colors are available each with Kiyonaga’s name etched onto it. The glasses will be available at Soph. stores in Japan on March 20th.

The latest feature from the Japanese online lifestyle magazine, Honeyee, is the TT + TKO Project. Sponsored by Audi, Honeyee has interviewed five creators from the Japanese scene including an architect, a musician, a fashion designer, a calligrapher, and a music producer. The interviews talk about each person’s unique relationship with the city Tokyo as well as other subjects such as the internet, magazines, products and more. Uniform Experiment is a new Japanese label by global trend setter Hiroshi Fujiwara and the creative director of SOPH., Hirofumi Kiyonaga. Together they have created a more mature line of clothing which involves suits and ties that are targeted towards the Japanese streetwear crowd that have grown up. Honeyee has conducted an interview on the duo about their thoughts and inspiration behind Uniform Experiment. Two big Japanese personalities, Hiroshi Fujiwara (of Fragment Design) and Hirofumi Kiyonaga (of Sophnet.) are at the forefront of a new collection titled uniform experiment.
