As you pass a light through a glass prism, the light becomes neatly broken up into the classic grade 9 science concept "ROY G. BIV". With this in mind, this concept forms the basis of the Prism collection, a joint venture between Staple Design's retail outlet Reed Space and Japanese brand Head Porter. Head Porter has just came out with their latest summer collection, Vinyl, a name obviously based on the material used in this series of bags. The collection will come in black, brown, and white, all with a transparent plastic material and with the standard Head Porter monogram pattern printed. Also, it comes in four different sizes including two types of totes, a Boston bag, and a pouch. Two new colors are set to release as part of the CLOT Royale x Head Porter collection of iPod cases. The updated colors include red and blue to compliment the previous releases featuring black and yellow. The cases will release Thursday, May 1st with a suggested retail price of $580 HKD (approximately $74 USD).

After a temporary hiatus, the CLOT Royale collection has returned with this latest Head Porter team-up on an iPod Case/Pouch. Referencing their roots as well as previous CLOT Royale products, the Head Porter template is highlighted by features such as their trademark silk pattern with a "C" flag set against the HP badge. Two models include black and yellow. Available at the grand re-opening of Juice starting this weekend.

The ongoing collaboration between Beams and Head Porter recently included a briefcase as part of their 5th anniversary. Suitable for spring and summer, the bag is made from canvas with special treatments. Though it looks like leather in the pictures, a hand rubbed treatment was used to achieve this look. "The fabric of “FREE STYLE” has a unique texture of the contraction which is made by the piece-dyed high-density canvas #10 with clear polyurethane pressure bonding. Every piece was finished by hand-rubbing to make the leather-like texture. The artisan skill is one of the characteristics of this series." Honeyee has released a feature on the Head Porter's 2008 Spring/Summer Collection. Head Porter has remained one of the more popular luggage brands in Asia and will probably continue to do so because we're really feeling the new collection. Four new styles have been released including the Marine, the Enem 08, the Doek and the Excursion (which was just talked about). There's something for everybody. This collection is made for those who frequency travel the world with functional items made for that purpose. Other than the backpacks and the travel bags, Burton and Head Porter has created a hoodie which is made for those short or long distance flights. You can tell this whole collection is masterminded by no other than Hiroshi Fujiwara with the Fragment logo on the front of the hoodie.
