To assist in the celebration of the 77th anniversary of its parent brand, Yoshida & Co., Porter have enlisted the help of Hamilton to produce this limited edition watch. Hamilton has provided a modified Khaki Field Auto Watch that Porter has attached to a rather unique looking leather and Velcro strap that has been crafted in the same orange color that adorns the inside of the popular Tanker series. If this is too over-the-top for you, the watch will also ship with a plain black calf-leather strap. To honor the 77 years, only 770 pieces will be produced, with each one individually numbered. Retail price has been set at ¥77,700 JPY (approximately $1015 USD). The Porter x Hamilton Khaki Field Auto will be available in March.

NEIGHBORHOOD have once again collaborated with Hamilton to produce these two new watches. Taking the Khaki series Field Auto 40 wrist watch as a base, NEIGHBORHOOD added an original military-styled faux crocodile leather strap that has been created exclusively for the collaboration by Porter. Available in black or navy, these watches are set to release in the middle of November in very limited numbers and will retail for ¥99,750 JPY (approximately $1310 USD).

Established in 1935, a few years after the devastating Great Kanto Earthquake, Yoshida & Co. was founded by impassioned designer and craftsman Teruyuki Yoshida. Kaban’s penchant for quality and timeless bags carried the brand through its formative early years, eventually developing into one of the Yoshida & Co.’s staple brands, Porter. To celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of Yoshida Bag Factory, Porter has joined American watchmaker Hamilton on a two-piece collaborative collection acknowledging the brands’ shared forbearance and vitality throughout the test of time. The interchangeable model features the signature Hamilton Khaki casing and two differentiated watchband options. A slim black leather strap embodies a level of sophistication and cleanliness while a more casual discretion is given to a custom Porter nylon-constructed band. A limited supply of pre-orders will be made available through ZOZOTOWN at a price of ¥77,000 JPY (approximately $1,004 USD), while an official release will not arrive until March 3, 2012.

Introducing the Khaki Flight Timer, a new timepiece made by Hamilton in collaboration with Air Zermatt. Hamilton teams up with the Swiss helicopter rescue service to offer a unique watch, with real pilot functionality in mind. This inspired piece features a personal logbook to record vital flight information, ability to switch between the two digital timezones (SWAP), and synchronization of the hands with the main digital time. To commemorate this special release, the Air Zermatt logo is placed on the caseback. The case is set in stainless steel and measures 40mm, with an AR-coated sapphire crystal, making it water resistant to 100 meters. Dials can be had in black or silver and strap colors include black rubber, brown leather, steel bracelet, or a bold orange as pictured above.

American watch brand Hamilton unveils their newest timepiece, the Khaki Conservation Auto Chrono. Not just an elegant and classic chronograph, this watch was made specially in collaboration with the environmental group Conservation International as well as their vice Chairman of the Board, Harrison Ford. Raising both funds and awareness for the non-profit group, Hamilton states that the watch is “dedicated to encouraging individuals to take time to reflect on conservation and the need to preserve important natural resources.”  The Auto Chrono’s stainless steel 42mm case contains a vintage beige dial and is attached to a hand-stitched brown leather strap. Additional features include Swiss movement, a sapphire crystal and water resistance up to 100 meters. A great piece of craftsmanship that also benefits an important cause, the Khaki Conservation Auto Chrono is available now through Hamilton.

In a tribute to the original, Hamilton has just released an updated version of its classic Pan-Europ watch. Retaining the blue dial and bezel that’s become characteristic of this particular style, the new model features H31 movement with traditional crown and pusher placements as opposed to a chronomatic movement and comes with an oversized, 45mm casing. With a limited run of 1,971 pieces (which honors the introduction of the first Pan-Europ in 1971), the new model will retail for $1,825 USD and is set to hit retailers sometime in late 2011.

The timepiece features leather construction from Porter with Hamilton being responsible for the watch production, the company’s specialty for the last century. Only 150 units were made, making themselves available in May 2010 through NEIGHBORHOOD retail stores.
