Made in collaboration with the Levi’s Film Workshop, this short film directed by Ty Evans was originally produced in conjunction with the MOCA’s “Art in the Streets” exhibition. Filmed in 3D, the video features an appearance by a number of different professional skateboarders including Vincent Alvarez, Brian Anderson, Cory Kennedy, Eric Koston, Stevie Perez and more. Watch as the boarders grind and shred their way through a skate course filled with tree branches and leaves.

New from New York-based streetwear purveyor DQM comes a small collaborative collection with Girl Skateboards. Featuring a skate deck, cotton T-shirt and baseball hat, the line was designed to emphasize the spontaneity and casual attitude that characterize skateboarding culture. According to DQM, all their target consumer needs is a board, a pocket tee and a little protection from the sun to go on an everyday adventure. Printed with both the Girl Skateboards and DQM logos as well as the word “Everyday” in a clean red, white and blue color palette, the collection will be available starting July 1 over at DQM.

In a recent “service announcement,” Spike Jonze leads the charge for his co-founded Girl skate brand as he holds an important internal meeting. Riddled with sexual references, Jonze announces Girl’s latest partnership with Lakai Limited Footwear on their upcoming distribution of the brand. A short comedic video to say the least.

ALIFE and Girl Skateboards offer the following skateboard complete for their 2010 holiday collection. The board references a classic banana-shaped cruiser albeit with modern updated hardgoods. The board features extensive ALIFE graphics with clear griptape to make it all visible. Other technical details include a 14.5″ wheelbase, custom ALIFE x Girl wheels and resized Royal trucks. Available on Saturday, December 18 at ALIFE flagship stores and through THE UPSET.

A video from the Girl/Chocolate tour of Germany has just been launched. Featuring a mix of seasoned pros such as Kenny Anderson, Sean Malto, Vincent Alvarez, Eric Koston, Chico Brenes, Cory Kennedy and Lem Villemin, the video comprises of some solid footage. The cities hit on the tour include Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Leipzig and Berlin with the filming, direction and editing all coming under the work of Ty Evans.

Having compiled an impressive array of personalities/companies within the past few years, the (RED) Project continues its enormous progress into 2009. In this short yet insightful video, the legendary Mike Carroll and Andy Jenkins of Girl Skateboards discuss their involvement in the (RED) campaign to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS in Africa. The art division of Chocolate/Girl Skateboards “The Art Dump” will be holding an exhibition this Saturday April 25th at LittleBird Gallery. The group show entitled Make The Logo Wooden will feature collaborative and individually created Wooden OG’s as well as other works by members of The Art Dump which include: Andy Jenkins, Andy Mueller, Christian Morin, Chris Waycott, Eric Anthony, Jeremy Carnahan, Hershel Baltrotsky, Jordan Mitchell, and Michael Coleman. Make The Logo Wooden runs until April 29th, 2009.

KRINK teams up with ALIFE and Girl Skateboards to produce a new limited edition skate deck. The deck features KR’s trademark drip effect in a metallic silver finish with co-branding on the reverse side. Retailing for $60 USD, it is now available through Alifenyc.com.

A couple weeks ago director Spike Jonze teamed up with Kanye West to shoot a short film. Starring in the film along side Kanye West are GIRL Skateboards member’s Mike Carroll, Rick Howard and Eric Koston. There’s many recognizable features such as Taz Arnold, Sam Smyth, Jeron Wilson and also a cameo from G.O.O.D. Music affiliate IBN Jasper. Stay tuned for more information.

Hooking up with Girl Skateboards once again, New York’s lifestyle movement ALIFE put together this collaborative deck. On the topside of the deck, the reptile eye motif is featured which has become a familiar part of ALIFE imagery. On the bottom side of the deck is a row of jagged teeth with the ALIFE and Girl logos.
