California-based apparel brand Brixton has joined forces with Fender to produce the “Friendly Union” Guitar and Record Cases. Fender accounts for one of the most coveted guitar manufacturers and has a long history of producing instruments of the highest quality. The collaborative cases see no over-the-top construction yet remain aesthetically pleasing enough to entice, while of course being durable in keeping your equipment free from harm. Marking the 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s sophomore album Nevermind, Fender has recreated an exact replica of the original guitar seen and used by musician Kurt Cobain. The limited edition ‘Kurt Cobain’ Jaguar guitar includes a Stratocaster headstock shape, triple knurled ‘chrome-dome’ knob configuration, three-position toggle switch, black chrome Adjusto-Matic bridge and Gotoh sealed tuners. In addition to the guitar, the release will also include a black textured case, an exclusive Fender Kurt Cobain book featuring extensive photos, and more. The guitar is available in right and left-handed versions for $1849 USD.

Stemming from a collaboration back in January, Lad Musician teams up with Fender to drop another logo tee. The shirt takes on an sea foam colorway with Fender’s traditional script along the font. The shirt is an added release celebrating Lad Musician’s 15th Anniversary, also serving as the milestone to formally offer a selection of direct musical co-lab projects, since most of the Japanese label’s collections have revolved around musical inspiration. Synonymous for its fusion of classic rock influences and designer fashion, Japan’s Lad Musician has consistently celebrated the art of music through countless collections. This season comes as no exception as Lad Musician teams up with iconic guitar makers Fender on a series of graphic t-shirts, one previously seen during the Spring/Summer 2010 runway show. Celebrating the label’s 15th Anniversary serves as the milestone to formally offer a selection of direct musical co-lab projects, with this counting as a welcome addition to the Lad Musician arsenal. Two colorways of the classic remixed logo shirt are now via select retailers, including nano universe.

One of the graffiti landscapes most respected artists, CRASHONE has had a well-documented association with the guitar world. Having seen his work applied on the guitars of numerous celebrities such as Eric Clapton, few if any will ever own any of his life-sized guitar-based artwork. As consolation here’s the second version of his miniature Fender Telecaster from what looks to be an ongoing series. The first one can be seen here. This piece will release in July of 2009.

Although graffiti artist CRASH had developed a strong foundation in the visual world, following a partnership with guitarist Eric Clapton he would develop an increased global presence. Back in 2004, a custom-painted CRASH guitar for Clapton fetched $321,000 USD at the auction houses. The success of this would eventually lead to the unofficially dubbed “Crashcoaster” project, CRASH’s Custom Shop Project with Fender which has yielded 50 stunning works of art and musical memorabilia. However, the ultra-limited quantities and exorbitant prices commanded by these guitars make it a difficult to acquire as it makes way for this collaboration between CRASH, F-toys and Fender Japan. The small-scale miniature features a detailed reproduction and vivid paint job to offer a more reasonable artistic alternative to the real thing. Hooking up the winner of the 2008 Slam Trick skate competition, Designer/artist Fergadelic contributed artwork on a classic Fender California guitar. Featuring an electric/acoustic platform the vintage inspired piece combines an old school California vibe with throwback imagery. Further images are available after the jump.
