The Jaguar C-X75 concept car was produced to celebrate 75 years of automobile excellence by the British luxury car manufacturer. Unveiled at last year’s Paris Auto Show to great excitement from auto-fans, the C-X75 will enter production sometime between 2013 and 2015. While the futuristic vehicle will be fueled by an all-star combination of four electric generators, two jet turbines and a diesel engine, its inspiration is firmly drawn from Jaguar’s XJ13, a one-of-kind racing prototype that was built in the mid ’60s for LeMans. dunhill of London pays tribute to both the past, and the promise the future holds with this four-minute automotive chronicle.

Although the brand has been mostly highlighted for its menswear, dunhill presents one of the more interesting gadgets of the year as it adds a Carbon Fiber Biometric wallet to its range of luxury goods. Aside from the look, the wallet’s most interesting feature is that it can only be opened via a fingerprint sensor which registers up to 10 different fingerprints with attached software. Even more noteworthy is its Bluetooth connectivity via a smart phone, allowing you to trigger an alarm within a certain distance if god forbid you lose your $1,400 wallet. Continually striving to enhance everyday products, South Korean-born designer Min Kyu Choi recently reworked the UK plug. This video, created with dunhill, explains that after having discovered a scratch on his laptop caused by the bulky tri-pin plug, the designer sought to rework the plug to make it more portable and efficient. The folding plug went on to win Min Kyu Choi several design awards and led to dunhill touting him as a “billionaire in waiting.” Enjoy!

The Day 8 initiative from Dunhill has look to inspire and invigorate patrons of the brand through its own specially curated content. Videos and photographs highlight the efforts deemed worthy by the successful English brand. In a video with Chris Dent, the illustrator was commissioned to draw a special piece of artwork combining the four homes of Alfred Dunhill into one cityscape. They included the structures based in London, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo. Through the video, Dent also discusses his process and visions for the piece.

WWD announces that Kim Jones will relinquish his role as creative director at Alfred Dunhill following the 2011 spring/summer collection. Since bringing Kim Jones on board, the Dunhill brand has enjoyed a new injection of youth and creativity from the designer who previously held his own eponymous label. According to Dunhill CEO Christopher Colfer, the departure was something originally planned with no plans to replace Jones.

Storied London-based Dunhill dig deep into the brand’s vault as they announce the release of a special key watch, a re-creation of an original 1937 design. The key watch is positioned nicely on a necklace, crafted from brass and sterling silver, with featured Jaeger-LeCoultre movement. Retail is set at ¥441,000 (Approx. $5,168 USD) for this beautifully produced piece of history.

Here’s a look at a new iPad cover from Dunhill, made for the label’s Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. Following in the foot steps of many high end brands as of late, Dunhill takes its vision to the accessories arena, adding another nicely designed cover to the upcoming season. Crafted out of premium leather, the cover features a letter print, addressed to “Alfred Dunhill” with an old school book strap motif. Stay tuned for a closer look as we approach Spring/Summer 2011.

Since 2000, the Japanese Football Assocation and British label Alfred Dunhill have partnered to provide a best of both worlds relationship. Outfitting the Japanese National Men’s Football team off the pitch, a recent campaign falls on the heels of this year’s 2010 World Cup in Sourth Africa as it includes two videos. One video titled “Freestyle” is seen on the streets of Tokyo’s Ginza district outside the Dunhill flagship store and features the ever-growing aspect of freestyle football.

With Spring now in full swing, Dunhill begins releasing several pieces from its Spring/Summer 2010 line up, headed by renowned designer Kim Jones. This latest release is comprised of several button-down shirts, a v-neck striped sweater, twin needle shirt, blazer, trousers, and accessories such as a trilby hat and leather hold-all.
