Long a favorite of artists, writers and designers alike, the company recently invited creative design group, Bob Foundation to lend their hand to a series of RHODIA No.11 Notepad covers. Replacing the notebook’s traditional colors, Bob Foundation created three versions of a rubber constructed bi-fold cover: the “button,” “zipper” and “necktie.” The simplistic designs take on an air of contemporary sophistication, while still providing the basic function of protecting the notepads against wear and tear. Dries Van Noten’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection is an ode to technical high-fashion. The outdoor inspiration for the collection can be seen very strongly, as most of the pieces are waterproof and made from the finest materials available. The determining colors are midnight blue and burgundy, which Van Noten has mixed with some bright colors. Gleaming materials and bonding tape as decorative detail are present throughout the collection. Almost the whole collection is more or less ready to be worn out in the streets, but undoubtedly the various fine parkas and jackets are the determining pieces that will be desired next year.
