DJ Shadow send out an official visual from his latest offering The Less You Know The Better. Helmed by filmmaker Dean Fernando, the grind house-esque video channels Shadow’s sentiment towards Arizona’s controversial anti-immigration law. The concluding piece to the DJ Shadow and LRG three part collaboration is seen here. Originally unveiled over a series of DJ Shadow performances in the last few months, this windbreaker joins a previous New Era 59FIFTY and Down Jacket released in previous months. “The Collaboration Windbreaker” is marked by a series of intricate details similar to the previous products with both entities’ logos seen on the chest, DJ Shadow’s cover art printed within the hood and printed sleeve. Gracing a presence that is not only commanding but refreshing at the same time, their throwback mentality shines through the remarkable music being produced. Loyalty to vinyl 45 record’s instead of taking the nu school digital approach is what made the Juke-Bot into a reality. Initially based on conceptual art by Ben Stokes, well known street artist, Paul Insect came through with the final design, including production and sculpting from Klim Kozinevich and Scott Wetterschneider of Bigshot Toyworks.

Ever since the duo’s first “The Hard Sell” show together in front of 15,000 fans at the Hollywood Bowl in 2007, there have been various releases in conjunction with the shows including merchandise and music but the Juke-Bot is their first venture into the world of vinyl toys. This limited edition figure stands 7.5″tall and 3″wide featuring bendable limbs as well as hand numbered packaging designed by Paul Insect. There are only 500 pieces available exclusively through this years “The Hard Sell” shows, DKE Toys booth at the San Diego Comic Convention, as well as DJ Shadow’s webstore. Tour dates will extend through the end of July 2008.

Leading instrumental hip-hop artist DJ Shadow has teamed up with LRG for the first of a series of collaborative jackets. The inaugural release features a white down jacket, the inside lining is brightly lit with a collage of DJ Shadow album covers. Further embroidery can be seen linking all the brands together.
