The ongoing Futura and DESCENTE collaboration capsule unveils some new items for this season. The technically-minded capsules revolve around some of Futura’s aesthetics with performance fabrics. In this particular case, the material reflects UV rays to provide a cool and comfortable option for the warmer months. Available now at Stless.

Building off their previous collaborations, Futura Laboratories teams up with performance company DESCENTE on a new set of leggings. Built to the finest specifications, the leggings come in a black colorway decked out with Futura’s signature script, reading “Recovery”. Both brand logos are also placed on the lower leg. Retail is set at ¥8,190 (Approx. $99 USD), with availability now through STLESS.

Futura Laboratories have joined forces by cycling apparel specialists Descente to produce these cycling jerseys. Details include Futura’s familiar “Spraycan Wizard” logo which runs down one arm, side pockets, a back pocket complete with zip, full front zip and subtle branding. The Jersey is available now in three alternative colorways, one plain and two which are dissected, providing a two-tone style. Pick yours up at FLSHOP from today.

In an ongoing collaboration, FUTURA LABORATORIES and outdoor brand DESCENTE has seen a coming together of performance apparel and the iconic imagery of living legend Futura. The latest example of this work is featured on the Pullover Jacket. Featuring 4WAY stretch with a 3D hood, the jacket also incorporates a near full-length zipper with large vertical pockets. Abstract graphics are restricted to the one side of the jacket with the other side featuring the statement “SPRAY CAN WIZARD” over the sleeve. Available now at the FLSHOP.

Linking up yet again, we see a new jacket silhouette for Spring 2010 from Futura Laboratories and Descente. This latest design follows a string of jacket releases throughout the past few seasons, with a focus being held on top notch fabrication while incorporating a slew of technical features, such as the packable design. Black and olive colorways are offered, both boasting Futura’s iconic prints and slight branding on the front/back. Retailing for ¥39,690 (Approx. $404 USD), this new piece can be purchased directly through Dice&Dice Japan.

Setting the bar as one of the most technologically advanced capsules in the streetwear realm for 2008, Futura Laboratories and technical apparel makers Descente continue their collaboration into the 2009 spring/summer season. Featured are a number of the familiar Four(4able) jacket and vest offerings with numerous customizable features, print t-shirts and the new release of the Gore-Windstopper denim with printed Futura Laboratories weft. No word yet on a release date.

As part of the ultra-technical Futura Laboratories x Descente collection, the two have also partnered up on a series of t-shirts. The FL x Descente outerwear collection itself is marked by a series of innovative material choices and concepts including various multi-function pieces and the use of DiAPLEX, a material which alters its pore structure relative to ambient temperatures. Although the t-shirts themselves (one of the three are shown here) are much more simple relative to their outerwear counterparts, the graphics are reflective of the team-up with each brand contributing their own iconic imagery. Representing some of the most technically complex series of jackets in some time, Futura Laboratories and Descente have worked together on a comprehensive collection of jackets. Originally previewed some months ago, the first releases include the 4able packable jacket. The jacket combines four elements including detachable, packable, imaginable and comfortable. The lightweight, waterproof breathable jacket features detachable sleeves and engineered for the whole jacket to be packed into the left sleeve. Available in two colors, set to release Saturday, August 9th at the FL Shop.

The collaborative efforts of Descente and Futura Laboratores has brought forth a new sense of performance credibility as the mash-up looks to combine FL aesthetics with Descente’s time tested performance qualities. The highlight of the four piece collection is the Mizusawa down jacket. Built with DiAPLX fabric (by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries), the intelligent fabric possesses qualities far beyond the norm in technical fabrics. The material is able to react accordingly to ambient temperature. When the core temperature is cool, the molecules within the fabric remain close together and retain heat, however once the core temperature rises, the molecules will force themselves apart to allow for moisture to escape. All while this is happening, the material remains waterproof and windproof. This material holds similar properties to Schoeller’s c_change fabric recent seen on the Canada Goose Non Insulated collection. Rounding out the releases are various Atomic Ring camo models, from vests to light spring jackets.
