Noted as one of Europe’s most well-respected graffiti artists, Boris Tellegen (Delta) is revealing a new showing titled “Abundance,” at Brussels’ Alice Gallery. The exhibition welcomes a variety of innovative pieces, which highlight the pioneer’s innate ability to morph the unexpected into intriguing artistic masterpieces. The set welcomes different offerings in the form of paintings, collages, 3D designs and video projections.

This Friday, November 25 in Brussels at the Alice Gallery, legendary artist Boris Tellegen, better known as DELTA, presents “Abundance.” In addition to various classical paintings and sketches, DELTA will showcase paper and patchwork style robot sculptures as seen in these preview photos. The exhibition will be open from November 25 to December 23 and is not to be missed.

Acclaimed Dutch artist Delta recently presented a host of new large-scale works for his exhibition “Subduction Zones.” Produced from a medley of different mediums, the enormous works were on display within Amsterdam’s Muziekgebouw Concert Hall. “Subduction Zones” runs through April 25, 2011 for those interested in checking out in person.

Holland born artist Boris Tellegen, better known as Delta, has a new exhibition up for display at the Jonas Kleerup Gallery in Stockholm. The exhibit entitled ‘Random Distress’ showcases his immaculate creative capabilities and fondness for the abstract. Not unlike the graffiti work for which he’s received most of his acclaim, these meticulously crafted 3D sculptures explore new dimensions and a varying degree of planes and spaces which help to accentuate his pieces many intricacies. The exhibit will be showing from June 3rd to July 4th.

Graffiti artist Delta, aka Boris Tellegen, has created a geometric world with his art that is a colorful reflection of the constructivist movement that brings to mind both block-like cities as well as pixelized digital environments. A rabid football fan, he was especially excited to play with the colorways on The Netherlands’ new kits. His artwork for the assortment is an extension of his blocky visual language: The boxy mascot is a simple-yet-dynamic running man, the crest is a cubic puzzle of numbers, and the font is unlike anything before it – heavy as concrete, but somehow agile through its italicized forwardlean.

Six Collaborations spawned from Nike Sportswear’s desire to celebrate the beautiful game of football in a way that connects to the national team fans who dwell at the intersection of sports and culture. In 2006, Nike collaborated with a group of artists to curate and design environments and spaces that represented their countries, but there was no product connection to this partnerships. This year, Nike worked with established and emerging artists from six countries to create alternative National Team Kits that flip the script on the classic football kit. “We wanted to include the kinds of apparel and accessories that would be in a footballers bag,” “They would be the same colors of on-field uniforms, but with the artists’ twists.” says Jarrett Reynolds, Nike Sportswear Apparel Design Director. In order to accomplish this, the Nike team asked artists contribute a badge, mascot, print and an alphabet in their handwriting style. Each collaboration includes N98 Track Jacket, AW 77 hoodie, kit tee, polo shirt and short for both men and women; then tee for men and tank for women.

Sharing a similar geometric aesthetic in their painting, Dalek and Delta recently shared the center stage at Elms Lesters Painting Room in the UK. Despite certain similarities, ultimately both artists take different approaches to their craft. Elms Lesters provides the proper break-down of each artist in comparison in the paragraphs below. Although both artists’ work appears to have similarities with its underlying geometric themes, it is diametrically opposed “Marshall’s use of straight line and colour is all to do with the “super flat” surface and the ambiguity of the exaggerated optical perspectives, while Tellegen’s focus is on surface, texture and shadows,’ said curator Paul Jones in a recent interview with DESIGN WEEK ‘While I have exhibited both artists within larger group shows, I thought this two-man show would challenge and stimulate viewers’

..and juxtaposed will be a selection of American artist James Marshall’s meticulous geometric paintings, including a large scale, site specific installation painted during a recent residency at the gallery.
