For the brand’s 40th anniversary, PONY has once again hooked up with Dee & Ricky on a collaborative endeavor for Fall/Winter 2012. Featuring the designers’ usual loud and unconventional aesthetic, the footwear and corresponding apparel sports a dizzying array of bold colors and unorthodox patterns. The capsule collection was recently on display at Bread & Butter Berlin with a release slated for late 2012.

Eccentric designers Dee & Ricky recently celebrated the release of their collaborative efforts with PONY. The twin duo has come quite a long way since solely producing their unique LEGO accessory line, as they lend their vision to the “Urban Jungle” capsule alongside the iconic footwear label. Reflecting the bold and unconventional aesthetics of the collaborative sneakers, a colorful soiree was recently hosted at colette with both designers in attendance promoting the project.

Having burst onto the scene, in large part thanks to their outlandish LEGO creations, brotherly duo Dee and Ricky have since collaborated with a number of brands on a significantly larger scale. The latest creation from the twins is a joint venture with PONY, in which they present the “Urban Jungle” Capsule Collection. The set features a pair of the brand’s silhouettes, the Slamdunk Hi and the newcomer, the NYC Topstar Lo. Each model has been decked out to the unmistakable liking of Dee and Ricky, as both highlight a variety of vibrant shades and intricate lettering. The collection is slated to release next month with the marquee event taking place Thursday, December 15 at Paris’s colette.

Today we present a brief, amusing commercial showcasing the watch as the dynamic duo put the retro, toy-inspired G-Shock GA-111 DR through one of their rigorous tests. Be on the look out as this masterpiece should be popping up at your local authorized Casio and Dee & Ricky retailers soon.

New York-based fashion design duo Dee & Ricky have lent their trademark retro style for the second time to the G-Shock GA-111DR. This limited edition chronograph perfectly pairs an extra-large analog/digital with the Dee & Ricky design sensibility seen on fashion runways and metropolitan sidewalks worldwide. The design draws on primary colors to mimic the appearance of a toy watch, much like the duo’s signature Lego-based designs, all which pop against the white backdrop. A never-before-seen G-Shock technique combines contrasting LCDs, gear-shaped hands and other parts to create a distinct multidimensional effect exclusive to the GA110DR. To further customize the timepiece, the Dee & Ricky logo appears on the band and the engraved backcase features the Dee & Ricky caricature. Remaining rooted in G-Shock technology, the Dee & Ricky x G-Shock is JIS Class Level I magnetic resistant to protect against the effects of magnetic fields often found in airport metal detectors. Availability begins in November for £150 (approximately $235 USD).

Kenzo Digital releases the trailer for its latest collaboration with designers Dee & Ricky. This teaser is a glimpse into the the universe created by Kenzo Digital for the upcoming project “The Dee & Ricky Super Happy Fun Time Show”, which is currently in production and will be released in the coming months. Nylon TV put together a short video interview with Dee & Ricky who have garnered much attention for their LEGO-centric accessories. Topics within the interview include the start of their eponymous label, their recent CASIO G-SHOCK collaboration and what the duo would like to design in the future.

A homage to the 8-bit video game culture and Kung-Fu movies, “Super Ultra Kara-tay” finds design duo Dee & Ricky as Kung-Fu students who must defend their Lego Shaolin temple against a nefarious villain and his swarm of ninja assassins. “Super Ultra Kara-tay” is an original and innovative new short film that fuses stop motion animation, martial arts, original music production, and LEGOs in a unique process that has never been done before. The piece was produced by film director/video artist Kenzo Digital as an extension of G-SHOCK’s recent watch campaign with Dee & Ricky.
