A collection of subtlety designed Jack Purcells by one of Americans leading designers has hit select stockists. A few subtle design qualities include side rivets and an elasticized tongue. Converse first released the Jack Purcell Rally sneaker back in 1976. Now 24 years later, they're back with the Converse Jack Purcell Rally II. Part of Converse's 100th Anniversary collection, the Rally II features a canvas upper and has words RLY printed on the midsole. Coming in two colors, these retail for 7,245 Yen and will be available at Flauge.
With Converse celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2008, the releases are coming at a frantic pace. Two new styles seen here include the ever classic Chuck Taylor All-Star in two solid colored offerings, and a velcro version of the Jack Purcell. The Jack Purcell is available in three colors. Mastermind Japan will be taking this years ward for the most collaborations. Although I don't believe anyone is complaining, the company has set a blistering pace this season. This time, they've teamed up with Jack Purcell and Beams. The Jack Purcell shoe has been the forefront of many trends over the years and with this pair limited to 1800, the company hopes to duplicate there previous success.

Some of you may be aware of Converse's looming 100th Anniversary. With 100 years of back catalog, there's bound to be some releases which for many will be a look at some new and rarely seen items. Among them, the Jack Purcell Racearound was originally released in 1973 and inspired in part by sports cars of its generation. The upper is comprised of both smooth and pebble pig skin leather.
