With the mobile world turned upside down with the release of the iPhone, every touch-based phone since Apple's hot seller has been dubbed the "iPod Killer" however few have lived up to the billing. Enter the newly announced HTC Diamond. Utilizing Windows Mobile 6.1, the phone features VGA Screen, quad-band HSPDA 7.2 and other iPhone-esque features. Despite initial reports that the interface is a little slow, the bugs should be worked out by the time a release date rolls around. No word yet on a stateside release date.

In a strategic partnership originally highlighted with the adidas x Samsungf110 mobile phone, adidas and Samsung have now moved forward with another step in their project. The miCoach represents a complex training tool for athletes of all levels as they strive to meet their athletic goals. Much like the competitors Nike + system, the miCoach will incorporate technology such as the aforementioned adidas x Samsung miCoach mobile phone and microchips in select adidas footwear to track progress and promote motivation. If you're fat and out of shape, you'll need more then some electronics to get you in the right direction. Available starting mid-March.

With fashion and electronics becoming a regular intersection, the concept once reserved primarily for high fashion labels has now manifested itself on a more casual level with an upcoming Samsung and adidas crossover called "My Coach". Rumor has it that it will work like the Nike Plus system where your shoes will connect to the phone tracking your jogging stats. Although the slider phone lacks the necessary functions for power users, the phone does offer smart aesthetics as the balancing point. Look for it to release next month.
