During the recently concluded Bread & Butter trade show in Berlin, Sperry Top-Sider previewed its latest footwear lineup for Fall/Winter 2012. Focusing on the brand’s classic 2-Eye Boat shoes and a myriad of reinterpreted chukka silhouettes, the new assortment sees the application of numerous premium leather materials that are characterized by textured surface, a restrained color palette, and unique graphics. Maintaining a strong grasp on its authentic classic construction and affinity for contemporary update, this collection will hit shelves in the latter part of the year.

For the brand’s 40th anniversary, PONY has once again hooked up with Dee & Ricky on a collaborative endeavor for Fall/Winter 2012. Featuring the designers’ usual loud and unconventional aesthetic, the footwear and corresponding apparel sports a dizzying array of bold colors and unorthodox patterns. The capsule collection was recently on display at Bread & Butter Berlin with a release slated for late 2012.

Bread & Butter Berlin served as the perfect opportunity for CLAE to show off their upcoming Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Featuring updated renditions of the Powell, Romare Hi, Strayhorn, Chambers and more, the collection utilizes an array of premium materials including tweed, leather, canvas, suede and nubuck for the perfect line of casual and functional footwear. Staying true to the brand’s mature aesthetic and filling the void that lies between sneakers and dress shoes, CLAE’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection will be available at select retailers later this year.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of NYC’s PONY and the brand intends to mark the occasion with a number of reissued classics throughout 2012. Focusing on their most iconic silhouettes, the Archive Top Star and Collegiate, the brand’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection sees the classic kicks in premium leathers and suedes, each sporting contrasting branding and white soles. Set to drop in an array of colorways, look for the signature models to hit PONY retailers later this fall.

On display at the recent Bread & Butter trade show in Berlin, Vans recently presented a comprehensive glimpse into its forthcoming Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Notable amidst the range of Authentic, Era and Sk8-Hi silhouettes, an amalgam of Hawaiian floral prints and understated Navajo patterns are mocked up in bold chromatic hues and tones. Distressed canvas aesthetics maintain a strong presence while further application of the unique patterns are seen across a range of snapback hats and backpacks. Affirming its ability to blend modern prints and timeless silhouettes, the Vans Fall/Winter 2012 range will be offered later this year through select stockists worldwide.

Earlier this month, the RZA made his presence known in Berlin at Bread & Butter Berlin during the seasonal trade show circuit. The focal point of his appearance was to showcase his latest collaborative project involving WeSC. The meteoric rise of WeSC and especially their headphone program has welcomed several big names, but perhaps none as famous as that of the legendary Wu-Tang member. We speak with RZA about his opportunity with WeSC and the whole design process of it all.

HBTV has an exclusive sneak peek at some of Barbour’s newest Beacon heritage creations. In their sixth season, Barbour Beacon (a collaboration with Japanese designer Tokihito Yoshida) offers slightly more high-fashion, design-oriented takes on traditional Barbour silhouettes including their famous quilted hunting and waxed cotton fishing jackets. An interesting insight offered here is that Tokihito is apparently quite averse to the use of bags and, therefore, tries his best to incorporate as many pockets, zippers and storage options as possible into his designs for Barbour. Heritage meets contemporary design in Barbour Beacon’s latest collection for the 2012 spring/summer season, so it’s quite nice to hear directly from global PR manager Sue Newton some of the inspiration behind the details of the line.

Featured here is Lyndon Cormack showing off some of accessory maker extraordinaire Herschel Supply Co.’s newest releases over at Bread and Butter. From classic, neutral canvas bags to brightly colored monotone backpacks and satchels with surprising details such as premium leather straps and magnetic closure, Herschel doesn’t disappoint with their latest range of offerings. Perhaps most exciting for streetwear enthusiasts will be their upcoming camouflage range, which seems to span a full line of products.

Making it an annual tradition to line up a collaborative release for each show, Bread & Butter present the show’s latest product launch, this time produced alongside CLAE and its Romare Hi silhouette. Offered in a light brown colorway, the sneakers feature a solid suede upper with special icon detailing marking the occasion. Also accompanying the sneakers is a matching New Era cap that follows the same outdoors theme. The package is set as a friends and family-only release but a select few pairs will be available to purchase at the Sport & Street Winter Playground portion of the tradeshow.
