To celebrate its 60th anniversary, British label Fred Perry have teamed with Japanese toy manufacturer Medicom on a special offering of the almighty Bearbrick. Draped in a classic navy and gold polo shirt, the result of the collaboration is immediately recognizable. This limited-edition release will be available February 1 at select Fred Perry retailers worldwide.

Medicom Toy unveils a new series of Bearbricks sporting the ever popular BAPE camo print. Produced in a trio of color options including blue, green or pink, each Bearbrick comes outfitted in one of streetwear’s most recognizable motifs. An official drop is set for January 28 through select Medicom Toy accounts, as well as ISETAN Shinjuku and BAPE retail locations.

Building off of the successful December 2011 launch of the 100% and 400% 3-Eyed Mickey Bearbricks, CLOT, Disney and Medicom Toy are set to release the trio’s latest in the form of an updated, 1000% version. With the 100% and 400% flying off shelves, this new release gives those who missed out the first time around another chance to pick up the iconic collaboration. This will likely be the last opportunity for fans and collectors to pick up the piece, as designs are discontinued following the release of the 1000%. Look for the collaborative figurine to drop on January 27 at Hong Kong’s JUICE for $3,200 HKD (approx. $412 USD).

In honor of the upcoming February 2012 Tokyo Marathon, Medicom has teamed up with the annual event for a custom-designed Bearbrick. The trademark toy is curated with the marathon’s route as a colorful motif across the all-black Bearbrick. On the reverse side, a transparent backing is branded with the 2012 Tokyo Marathon logo amidst an amalgam of colorful reflections from the anterior design. Retail for the custom toy is set at ¥1,600 JPY (approx. $21 USD).

The Bearbrick has seen itself recreated more and more in a variety of unconventional materials. Medicom Toy releases its latest Bearbrick iteration via a black autoclave dry carbon edition. The powerful composite is given an all-over treatment across the sleek 400% edition. Developed in conjunction with Amerix Inc, the limited edition Bearbrick is being offered in limited supply via Project 1/6 with a retail of ¥148,000 JPY (approx. $1,900 USD).

Addressing the recently leaked images from its upcoming colab, Bay Area collective Benny Gold unveil its Medicom Toy Bearbrick “SF Fog Series.” Although the project still has yet to materialize with an official press release and product shots, the latest images highlight the novelty’s San Francisco fog-inspired theme. The iconic sea fog that often engulfs the Golden Gate Bridge serves as the basis for the transparent/red gradient-colored toy. Expect the special edition vinyl toy to release with forthcoming pricing and further information over the next few weeks.

Mishka are proud to announce their involvement with the Series 23 release from Medicom Toy Bearbrick. Falling in line with the 20th anniversary of the ultra iconic designer toy, Mishka looked to good friend and designer/artist Lamour Supreme to craft this monochromatic piece embodying many of Mishka’s signature elements. A slated release of the Series 23 (blind box) collection is set for later this month at select retailers.

Popular Japanese toy maker Medicom Toy has once again teamed with Nike Sportswear on an Air Force 1. While slightly similar to another Bearbrick we saw in December of last year, this year’s model comes in both an original black colorway as well as a rich, brown colorway. The Medicom Toy Bearbrick x Nike Sportswear Air Force 1 Premium is part of the recent Bearbrick World Wide Tour 2 product rollout. The shoes will carry a suggested price of ￥15,750 JPY (approximately $202 USD).

Widely recognized woodworking shop Karimoku has contributed this Bearbrick to the Medicom Toy World Wide Tour 2. Not the first time Karimoku has handcrafted Bearbricks for Medicom, this 1000% edition is entirely composed of granular wood and can be found on display alongside a selection of other figurines at Parco Museum Shibuya, beginning on December 3, 2011.

Another addition to the roster of figurines included in the Medicom Toy World Wide Tour 2 is this Bearbrick from Stussy. Available in 100% and 400% editions, colorful stylized fish cover the exterior of the toy which gradiates from white to a light yellow. An insignia on the center of the figure depicts a black character with a surfboard under one arm. This Bearbrick will be on display with many others at Parco Museum Shibuya starting December 3, 2011.
