Deluxe in conjunction with fabled British jacket makers Baracuta create two new versions of the terrace favorite G9. The G9 has been a workhorse for the Baracuta brand over several decades as Deluxe introduce some more on-trend options for the season, including a camouflage body against a more subtle navy blue version.

A Bathing Ape’s latest release for Fall 2011 consists of this new collaborative jacket produced alongside the storied Baracuta brand. Utilizing the classy G-4 design, this new jacket boasts a timeless look with a simple khaki colorway and leather General Ape branding on the chest. Look for it now through select BAPE retail stores.

Here we preview another in this season’s long list of collaborations from Japanese streetwear giant A Bathing Ape. This time it’s the originators of the Harrington jacket, British label Baracuta’s turn. Two jackets will be available, the first being a G4 model available in black which will retail in Japan for ¥40,740 (approximately $505 USD), whilst the second will use the classic G9 silhouette and will be cut from Donegal Tweed in gray. Japanese retail price for this jacket has been set at ¥55,440 (approximately $685 USD).

London retailer Baracuta has combined with British label b Store on these reinvented Harrington jackets and Ramsey raincoat. Having since been replicated by a number of labels from across the globe, the original Harrington was presented by Baracuta all the way back in 1937, and has been worn by stars from Elvis, to Steve McQueen, to Frank Sinatra and beyond. b Store has updated the Harrington’s legacy, adopting two of Baracuta’s classic cuts (the 50s G3 model and the 1966 Ramsey raincoat, created for England’s World Cup winning team) and merging them with its own modern materials. The G3 now features your choice of either bleached denim or a double-layer poplin check, whilst the Ramsey has now been created from a stone-waxed cotton, oversized to add volume and resulting in a more contemporary silhouette.

For British footwear label Pointer, they couldn’t have picked a better brand than Baracuta to effectuate their very first clothing collaboration. With a history spanning half a century and helping to keep many generations of Brits dry, the jacket focuses on the archival Ramsey jacket. An original style known for its appearance at the ’66 World Cup in which England won its lone world championship, a defining feature is the use of Baracuta’s very first check pattern rather than the current Frasier Tartan. The Pointer x Baracuta Ramsey Jacket will release on Wednesday, September 1st at Frontline with a retail price of €299.99 EUR.

British purveyors of rainwear since the late 1930s, Baracuta re-introduce their Ramsey Raincoat this season. Originally created for the England National Team who won their lone World Cup over forty years ago, the Ramsey Raincoat comes in a taupe color with a black and red plaid lining. The name itself is derived from England manager Sir Alfred Ramsey who wore an iconic burgundy Baracuta G9 the night before England’s 4-1 victory over West Germany. The jacket comes with a special swing ticket and is available now directly through Baracuta.

In an all-British affair, Griffin and Baracuta unite to create a collaborative jacket based on Baracuta’s iconic G9. The inclusion of Griffin in the design process creates two styles, a paneled theme which includes tartan sleeves on a light-colored body as well as a more subtle black version. One of the originals behind the Harrington jacket, Baracuta releases an all new technical and modern update with their “James” cycling jacket. The jacket features a fully waterproof and breathable material to ensure you’re dry and cool in any condition. From a design point, the jacket is cut longer in the arms and in the back. Other things include a 5-point vented wing back, press studs on the sleeves to reduce wind drag and waterproof zips on the front of the jacket.

Baracuta introduce another rendition of their G9 jacket, this time in a vintage fit coupled with a fixed, drawstring hood. The jacket features a medium weight waxed cotton fabric with a Baracuta tartan check liner. Additional details include a zip-down front with button-fastening handwarmer pockets, vented back, double button-fastening neck, ribbed cuffs and hem. Available now via Oi Pollio.
