The innovative Japanese brand SAGLiFE originally started up as a venture in 2003 by DJ Ichigo. The brand has seen its bags hit various segments including street and snow with a fledging apparel line coming up alongside. A look at their 2008 spring/summer collection includes a series of collaborative bags with skate label FTC.

The always popular line of Visvim backpacks have been updated for the 2008 spring/summer collection. The majority of these bags are created in low-key understated colors albeit with attention garnered by the use of colorful zippers. Both the Ballistic 20 and Ballistic 25 (formerly know as the K Pack) are available in black/blue, green/orange and tan/yellow. Available now at select Visvim dealers including Re In Force.
From the land of infinite collabo's, here are shots of a USC x Porter Large Logo backpack. This collaboration is with Uno Caol Showten which is the Japanese MMA fighter, Uno Caol's brand. You should be familiar with him from his frequent collabo's with Nike, specifically the 10AC brand. You can get to know him better on his Honeyee blog.

Despite the debut of a special collection of bags with fashion designer Raf Simons, business is as usual for the first bag makers to utilize Cordura in their construction. A look at their collection for spring includes a series of printed bags. Upon Eastpak's foundation, they were among the first to delve in unconventional prints and colorways. Almost 50 years since its inception, things are pretty much the same. Each of the bags are backed by a 30 year "Built to Resist" warranty. Among the releases is a special joint project with French artist Genvieve Gauckler who's other projects include works with Medicom Toys among others. Available now at Hong Kong's D-Mop.

After more than a decade of designing accessories and garments for various brands, Rekognize design has launched their own premium brand; Bruxe. Working with some of the best backpack makers in the world, Bruxe aims to create functional bags with clean profiles. The inaugural collection comes in the form of a five piece backpack and bag collection. The bags are available exclusively in black and are made with canvas and laser cut patent leather. The fabrics and trims were chosen especially for their appearance, durability and appeal. Available August 2008 at select retailers in Canada, the US and Japan.
Incorporating the best of both worlds from London and Tokyo, shown here is Articalizm's 2008 Spring/Summer collection. The collection's theme revolves around musical references to hip-hop as well as hunting. Products such as their bags and caps both feature vintage deadstock fabrics. Current distribution is restricted mostly to retailers such as Nomads in Japan with a further expansion slated for the rest of the world.
