Japanese fashion magazine SENSE is set to publish its 100th issue. To commemorate the occasion, they’re throwing a “black festival,” partnering with BAPE and ZOZOTOWN to release this limited edition Baby Milo mobile mascot with purchase of the magazine. It’s not the first time SENSE has included highly limited collectables with various publishing milestones (like a previous partnership with Medicom Toy). This Baby Milo toy will be available for purchase from ZOZOTOWN apart from the magazine for ￥2100 JPY (approximately $26 USD), starting on April 27.

The latest A Bathing Ape x REVOLTECH YAMAGUCHI collaboration once again finds the iconic BABY MILO toy getting the royal treatment. Unlike previous offerings, this piece is accompanied with a camo guitar that seems like a fitting blend of both brand’s signature sensibilities. The BABY MILO is 90 mm tall and can be purchased for ¥2,980 JPY (approximately $38 USD) through select BAPE outlets.

Despite A Bathing Ape’s obvious inspirations from apes and more notably Planet of the Apes, founder NIGO recently cited Star Wars as his all-time favorite. NIGO’s wish has been fulfilled once again with a new collaboration set for next year with Lucas Films and the Star Wars franchise. This comes on the heels of the fall capsule centered mostly around T-shirts. Some obvious mash-ups including the likes of Darth Vader, R2-D2, Chewbacca, Ewoks and Bounty Hunters are all present as well as an extremely busy all-over print involving both characters and recognizable starships from the series. A release will begin starting January.

Despite its position as a cartoon character, A Bathing Ape’s BABY MILO has often been left out of the toy realm when it comes to figures except for a handful of piggy banks and a recent CHOGOKIN BEARBRICK. However for next year, BABY MILO will come in a fully posable form that includes a handful of accessories that can be attached via magnets. A release is set for February 15, 2012 through select retailers including AMiAMi.

A Bathing Ape has linked with notable toy and collectible manufacturer Medicom Toy to present a collaborative Bearbrick. Novelty items such as this have been gaining significant popularity in recent years, due to such influential brands as the ones noted here. The unique figurine can be purchased now through BAPE.

Following up on the original and more accurately colored release of earlier this year, A Bathing Ape launch a new series of COIN BANKs featuring the popular character. Serving the dual purpose of both design and functionality of helping accumulate loose change, Baby Milo is now clad in either monotone silver or gold versions with availability through BAPE STORES globally.

A Bathing Ape has released a new BABY MILO MAIL app for the iPhone. Made in conjunction with CROWN JEWEL, Inc., a company that has worked on many BAPE themes for the Japanese mobile phone market. The app allows you to send and receive email with the added bonus of BABY MILO themed graphics and icons. The BABY MILO MAIL app is available now from iTunes.

A Bathing Ape drops some huge news as they announce a collaboration with Star Wars. Many of the Star Wars franchise’s most popular characters make the leap over into the world of Baby Milo as they are recreated in a familiar cartoon style. The collection will release later this month on September 17 with further in-store events at BAPEXCLUSIVE Aoyama and BAPE STORE HARAJUKU.

Beginning June 2011 marks the opening of BAPE’s upcoming exhibit titled “MILO COSMOS,” an art gallery doubling as a pop-up shop. A space theme depicting the flagship Baby Milo character traversing through the celestial bodies above will see appropriation on a number of merchandise and artwork. Though the complete collection of items that can be purchased at the gallery, a limited selection of merchandise can also be attained at BAPE retailers such as the web store and BAPEXCLUSIVE Aoyama. Spectators can catch the exhibit which runs from June 11, 2011 to July 18 at Kyoto’s BAPE GALLERY.

A Bathing Ape drops another Baby Milo embroidered piece, this time coming in the form of a short-sleeve gingham button-down. Much like previous items in the series, the shirt is highlighted by an all-over motif of Baby Milo embroidered heads, which fit in quite nicely with the classic, springtime gingham material.
