The end of this month will mark Amos Toys' first release for 2008 as they set the year off with a James Jarvis drawing turned toy, the Bird God. The Bird God was originally seen within the pages of Jarvis' Selected Drawings book. Claims of a glow in the dark version have been substantiated with this recent picture provided by Amos Toys. No word yet on whether this will be a special release or its availability.

Much has been quiet out of the Amos Toys camp in recent months. Their first release for 2008, the Bird God has made the transition from Jame Jarvis' Selected Drawings book to the toy world. Available at the end of March.
A special follow-up to Amos Toys' popular Wrestling Elves toys will release later this month. The toys were originally a 3D transformation of album art for Juno Mak's Chapel of Dawn CD. This special mono colorway of the Wrestling Elves will be available to the Japanese public on December 20th at Amos Toys (Japan). However a further compliment will be available to the UK Webstore and at Hong Kong's SiLLY THING.

Amos Toys co-founder and artist James Jarvis is set to release a book documenting his designs and inspirations. As you flip through the 240 pages, be submerged first hand into the work of James Jarvis and his favorite illustrations between 2001 and 2007. The book includes illustrations over the years encompassing commercial work, comic strips, t-shirt graphics and toys. This project allows viewers to follow the conceptualization of an idea through drawing to the actual physical product.
Also set to release are three special YOD figures which each feature decorations of a mythical beast theme taken from Jarvis' book. A small run of books will release at the end of November while a full run to take place in the Spring of 2008.

Earlier this month, TK from SiLLY THING previewed their latest foray into the toy segment with their Chapel of Dawn Wrestling Elves created in association with Amos Toys. It was said that much thought and mathematically equations were needed to produce a figure which could replicate the same vision as seen on Juno Mak's album art for his disc Chapel of Dawn. The album art was originally conceived by James Jarvis. Here's a new updated look providing a view of both the Elves wrestling and separated. The Elves represent a struggle between good and bad. Look for these to hit the Amos Shop and SiLLY THING outlets at the end of November.

On the heels of their recent rookie foray into the toy scene with Bounty Hunter on the Cap'n Bounch figure, Hong Kong based SiLLY THING has come up with another toy collaboration with Amos Toys. The inspiration for these figures are derived from Juno Mak's album art from his disc Chapel of Dawn. Due to the unorthodox pose of the Wrestling Elves, a lot of physics were involved to ensure authenticity and accuracy to the artwork originally done by James Jarvis. Look for these to release in November.
