Japanese labels MACKDADDY and AMBUSH have teamed up for the first time on some “POW” Velour Accessories. Available in black, grey, brown, white and purple, each pendant and ring is wrapped in the aforementioned soft outer for a stylish yet comfortable statement. Available very shortly in select retailers, these make a perfect stocking stuffer for fans of limited-edition collaborations.

Following to the release of its lookbook this year, offered up is a further look into AMBUSH’s most recent collection. Dubbed “SCREW IT,” the eclectic range of accessories from the Japanese label seemingly radiates a voyeuristic and mischievous theme as seen on the arrangement. Encompassing detachable collars, faux cuffs, eccentric necklaces, unique rings, studded cap, bejeweled belts and bracelets, this collection will hit shelves of select retailers starting December.

The latest offering from Japanese accessory label AMBUSH arrives in the form of a baroque-style Holiday 2011 collection. Titled “SCREW IT,” the expectedly bold collection features a range of ornate necklaces, rings, cufflinks, bracelets, belts and hats, each characterized by a convoluted chic aesthetic. The label also invited designer and artist Claire Barrow to lend her unique DIY fashion style to a limited arrangement of custom-painted accessories. The collection will be arriving at finer retailers beginning this December.

The collaboration between WTAPS, AMBUSH and A Bathing Ape sees three inspired brands coming together to forge a bold set of footwear. Further images of the CREEPSTA reveal woven detailing on the toe box and sides, as well as D-ring eyelets and minimal branding. Started in 2002 as the brainchild of VERBAL and YOON, AMBUSH DESIGN recently worked with mobile protection manufacturer Gizmobies on 10 limited iPhone 4 covers and three iPad 2 covers.  Known for their sleek, unobtrusive design, the Gizmobies are mocked up in limited AMBUSH artwork, illustrations and graphics.  Priced at ¥3,990 JPY (approx. $52 USD), they are available exclusively from Gizmobies Playland.

The AMBUSH and A Bathing Ape collaboration sees a new member as WTAPS joins the two Japanese labels for an exclusive three-brand release of the BAPE Creepsta shoes. The collaboration includes woven detailing on the toe box and sides, as well as D-ring eyelets and minimal branding. Available in two colorways (black and blue), the shoes come in an all-leather silhouette for the Fall/Winter 2011 season.

Birmingham, Michigan retailer REVIVE joined forces with Japanese accessories brand AMBUSH in the design of this all new “WILD” series of chains. Based on AMBUSH’s tribute to past comic books, the “POW!” motif is given a different spin thanks to a safari pattern approach. Several different versions based on patterns derived from leopard, zebra and snakeskin with different chain options. Available now exclusively at REVIVE.

The CREEP STA was originally developed in 2010 through a partnership between A Bathing Ape and AMBUSH, meshing the classic BAPE STA with traditional creeper shoe uppers. Reworking that original design just a bit, BAPE now gives us a look into the CREEP STA NYLON, which is highlighted by the use of a strap rather than the usual lace option. Also evident is a full nylon upper in a tonal black with orange lining and silver hardware. Look for these now through BAPE retail stores worldwide.

To help raise support and awareness for the victims who are still suffering from the recent earthquake in Japan, Japanese design collective AMBUSH has teamed up with the Danish luxury lifestyle label Georg Jenson on this limited edition watch set. The colorful, pendant style watches feature a second hand that runs backwards, symbolizing the desire of many to “turn back time.” Limited to only 500 pieces, the proceeds from each watch sale will go towards helping the Japanese Red Cross.

One half of the AMBUSH design team, YOON officially unveils AMBUSH’s contribution to Mattel’s Ken 50th Anniversary Collection. The better half of Barbie is clad in a vintage Japanese toy style with a robotic enclosure and bubble helmet showcasing Ken beneath the suit. The toy is limited to 25 pieces and will release on Monday, March 7 at colette in which YOON and VERBAL of AMBUSH will both be on hand for an in-store celebration as well as DJing at the party the next day.
