Designer label ALMOND enter familiar territory having worked with New Balance before on a vividly coloured 1500. But instead of going at it alone, this time around they have L.A. retailer Ron Herman to input some ideas. And this idea is a bold one, but the same can be said for any shoe that chooses to represent its country’s flag as part of the design; in this case, the U.S. one stands tall on the H574J hiking boot hybrid’s heel tab. The rest of the sneaker is presented a more subtle fashion and finished off in a navy suede with hues of white and gray on the toebox, NB logo and midsole.

Further complimenting their joint sneaker project from earlier in the year, fashion label ALMOND teamed up with New Balance on a set of apparel, taking on a designer theme with New Balance’s sportswear aesthetic incorporated into the mix. The outcome is an expected fusion of both company’s styles, somewhat reflective of the Y-3 campaign from adidas. Presented in all-Black, five new pieces are now available at rumors.

Previously seen in late January, New Balance are now finally set to release their collaborative effort alongside designer label Almond. Arguably one of the brands better colorways of 2009, New Balance utilizes the popular 1500 model, highlighted by the use of multiple premium materials amongst a well balanced colorway. New Balance offer one of their best colorways of 2009 (so far) to a collaboration project alongside designer fashion label Almond. Utilizing the well-received 1500 model, the sneakers churn out a nice balance of colors in buttery suede panels along with white midsoles and gum bottoms. There is no word yet on a release date, but the sneakers will be tagged for ¥27,300 (Approx. $302 USD) and hopefully will see a US release.

Being no stranger to each other, Almond gets together with New Balance to work on a pack which includes two Ninja jackets and a pair of 574 sneakers. Following a mostly black theme, all three feature a familiar colorway. Not only does New Balance implement the interchangeable logo once again but they make several panels on the shoe velcro friendly, allowing for a complete personalized touch. The jackets both feature a sleek look including function design aesthetics. Expect to see the jackets release in September while the shoes sometime in November of 2008.
