Motown Records was the first African American owned record labels that achieved success in bringing African American artists into popular music. Although Motown eventually owned and distributed over 45 subsidiaries, its most popular genres of music included Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Hip Hop and Pop. In honor of Motown's contribution to the music industry, Adidas has created this Adidas "Motown" pack which includes the "Motown" Superstar, "Motown" tees, jackets and polos. The pack carries the color black throughout all items. These items are now available at Adidas retailers including Overkill Berlin.

Singaporean label Flesh Imp celebrated its 7th Anniversary this year. Among the special collaboration projects was an adidas Super Star “七“ (7). The design incorporates a sword and an M16 rifle, a reflection of the fusion of old meets new. adidas takes on the role of the sword, a historically significant brand on the scene while Flesh Imp represents the M16 and it's own influence in the urban environment.
