Cactus x Ubiq Ilis

For fledging Japanese brand Cactus, since they're inception they've received ample amounts of exposure with various collaborations. Previously releasing both a hiker style Carphill boot and eyewear with Ubiq, the two have once again teamed up to create the Ilis. Three colors involve familiar hiking boot lace loops on a high top format with rubber toebox.

MSTRPLN X Ubiq Custom Nike Dunk Low “A Step in the Right Direction”

Being Geeky seems to be in fashion now, Montreal designer Stefan Dukaczewski of MSTRPLN worked with Ubiq to create some geek chic sneakers in the "A Step in the Right Direction" project. These unique Dunk Low prototypes have been re-engineered for the ASRD project, the silhouette of the classic Dunks is kept but is fitted with stealthier features, like the flap on top of the shoe and a new lacing system allowing for both conventional and internal lacing. All the electronic components are housed in the left shoe flap stamped with the MSTRPLN logo. This wearable technology features an integrated 802.11 Wi-Fi detector and 3 LED indicator display lights. The ASRDs is rated for a 50 foot Wi-Fi hotspot detection zone and triggered by a pressure sensitive insole. There is no word on the availability of these Wi-Fi integrated sneakers yet.

Ubiq x Stussy Philadelphia Grand Opening T-shirt

Initial reports at the start of the year pegged Stussy to extend its presence across North America with stores in Las Vegas, Washington DC and Toronto. At the heart of each of the previous openings was a special team up with a local institutions including Goodfoot, UNDFTD and Commonwealth. Continuing this trend sees Ubiq welcoming the popular brand into the city of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia in a move that was unforeseen by many. Stussy Philadelphia will occupy the 2nd floor of the current Ubiq location on Walnut St. starting April 19th. Seen here is the special t-shirt co-created by the two entities referencing Philly's historic Liberty Bell. The doors to Stussy Philadelphia will officially open at 11:00 am. Cactus x Ubiq Carphill

Relatively new to the Japanese fashion arena is label Cactus. Despite their recent establishment, they have created a capsule of products together with fellow Japanese brand Ubiq. Among the products is the mountaineering inspired Carphill. Cactus' personal touches feature a revamped materials on the tongue and heel, while maintaining the full leather upper. New models of Ubiq's Ilis sneaker have been released. Available in both its standard and low models, differences included the use of leather on the standard model while the low is comprised of suede. A few accents mark the upper including contrast stitching and leather stripes. Available now at Chapter World.

Undercrown X Ubiq March Madness Event

To showcase Undercrown's latest March Madness collection, Philadelphia's premier store Ubiq and EA Sports teamed up for the launch event. The decor was full of sports memorabilia with DJ Cash Money controlling the beats. the likes of Peddi Crack, State Property's Oskino and Mos Def were all on hand. People in attendance had a chance to check out EA Sports' latest March Madness title with a special t-shirt released as well.

Cactus x Ubiq Eyewear

Clothing label Cactus and Japanese footwear label Ubiq recently revealed their upcoming directions with the creation of a special capsule of products including eyewear. The handmade frames are available in three different colors. The colors include brown/olive, navy/white and a special clear/gray colorway exclusive to street fashion magazine Street Jack. Available starting March 15th, 2008.

The popular Qwerty model from the Japanese footwear label Ubiq is back in a new style and in new colorways. This time, Ubiq has given the Qwerty an outdoorsy look with round laces and a rubber sole. Ubiq x Secret Base Ghost

Combining elements of fashion and toys, Japanese footwear brand Ubiq was offered an opportunity by popular toy makers Secret Base to create their own Ghost figure. The ghost design incorporates the familiar transparent design with blinking LED light. The glow in the dark colors were chosen by Ubiq.
