Cultural innovators Alphanumeric rose from the ashes/came out of retirement to step back into the limelight with the same bold graphics and provocative statements which earned them many accolades at the turn of the century. With a series of experienced people at the helm, this comes as no surprise as their love for cornerstones of culture such as music and knowledge have translated into their design work and branched out into mixtapes. The first deck seen after the jump is the Calculus deck. A monogram of math symbols can be seen. Among their future releases is the Stacks skate deck which despite the 2D nature of photographs in general provides an interesting perspective. Available this holiday 2008.

For Calgary skate shop The Source, the almost 20 year old store has looked to Daniel Curtis to create their Fine Dining series of decks. Shot with all real food which has passed through the gullet of Daniel Curtis, the series is a fun play on the theme of fine dining as it encompasses designs including hot dogs, donuts, fries and burgers. Harold Hunter Day 2 Skate Deck and Tee

On May 17th, over 500 skaters and spectators got together at the Manhattan Bridge Skatepark to honor and celebrate the 2nd annual Harold Hunter Day. In conjunction with this event, the non-profit Harold Hunter Foundation teamed up with the Zoo York Institute to design a limited edition Harold Hunter Day II commemorative deck and t-shirt, featuring pictures of Harold taken by acclaimed photographer, Giovanni Reda. Both are available at select New York retailers including Rival, Autumn, Everything Must Go, Richmond Hood Company, Blades, DQM, and Homage. Also, a special bundled kit including the deck, t-shirt, and a signed copy of Reda's "Harold Hunter: The Book" is available exclusively at KCDC. All proceeds will be donated to the Harold Hunter Foundation. This is a great opportunity not only to honor the legendary skater, but also to give back to the community.

Mackdaddy x Uniful

Japanese brand, Mackdaddy, collaborated with Uniful to design a series of new items. The release includes two tees, two New Era caps, and one skate deck. All the items feature a special "Unidaddy" logo with two hands shaking. The skate deck is teal on one side and white on the other, and it glows in the dark. All set to release in early July. Sean Cliver for Supreme

Sean Cliver, famous skateboard artist, is collaborating with Supreme to produce two skateboards with his own original artwork and two t-shirts for the project release. Sean Cliver started his career at Powell Peralta and has worked with the likes of World Industries, 101, Birdhouse, and Hook-ups, and has also published an abundance of books featuring thousands of skateboard graphics. The collaboration will be available at the NY and LA stores and online on June 12th, and will hit Japan stores on June 14th.

Every so often, Supreme teams up with relevant artists to create select capsules of products revolving around skate decks. As a brand rooted heavily in the skating, the deck has provided a formidable canvas for past artists such as Larry Clark, Jeff Koons, Richard Prince and Takashi Murakami to work their magic and creativity. The latest installment is a collaboration with artist Sean Cliver who is the author of the book, Disposable, which showcases over 1000 skateboard graphics from the past 30 years.
