Only last week, Microsoft's chief executive Steve Ballmer prophesied the death of print media within the next 10 years as everything goes to an online format. With him having made such a bold statement, we can't help but feel that despite our current profession in the movement Ballmer feels will take over, the physicality of print media stands little chance of truly dying. Media such as this upcoming newspaper created as part of the much anticipated Stussy x Neighborhood Boneyards collection is something we feel regardless of the times will still hold its weight in certain circumstances. At the end of the day, the tangible aspect and the tactile feel of thumbing through the pages is something irreplaceable and commands respect. Although little is known regarding the background of this newspaper, we expect to see a range of interview with the creative minds behind this memorable collection.

As a mainstay in the skateboard community, Salman Agah, seems to have done it all. As a professional, he pioneered switchstance skateboarding in the early 90's, received one of skateboarding's highest honors as Thrasher’s Skater of the Year, and had a signature shoe with Vans. He has kept his scene alive through Skatebook.tv, a website dedicated to celebrating skateboarding's past, present and future. Agah recently teamed up with legendary photographer Mike Ballard to create a series of coffee table books simply called, Skatebook. These epic 300-page pieces of visual excellence are filled with photos, quotes, write-ups, and tons of behind the scenes commentary on the last few decades of skateboarding.
There has been 2 editions of Skatebook that have been released so far, with the latest being the John Cardiel edition with a special split cover. The third edition will be the Lance Mountain edition and that should be out sometime in August. These books are only distributed through mom and pop skate shops and are given by those shops as a gift to say thank you for supporting; they can also be obtained during autograph signings at skate demos. Skatebook is made for those of us who eat, sleep, breathe, sweat and live for skateboarding. Companies such as New Era, Vans, LRG, Emerica, Altamont, Nike, Stereo, The Berrics, Etnies, and many, many more have contributed in MASSIVE ways to make Skatebook what it is.
So stop by your local skate shop, hit them up about Skatebook, buy a new board and get out there and be a part of this.
