[Quote]That's some neatly-done repair work (from the outside view, at least). Is that guaze material really an effective reinforcement? I got mine repaired at USA 501 and they just did darning--no reinforcement-- and now they need repaired again 3 months later on the areas surrounding the repairs. I'm trying to decide if I should ask them to reinforce them this time, and if so with what...

[Quote]That's a fantastic shot. Nice background, nice fit, nice outfit... everything is just perfect. Can't wait to see 'em later on!

[Quote]They are indeed an indigo blue. They are what you might consider "greycast" denim, which is why they have a grey-ish appearance in some pics, but they are made of true (synthetic) indigo. That's a pretty standard model for N&F. You can find fit and fade pics of them everywhere.

[Quote] Haha I know, right? I found out from rawrdenim.com first, but I was really surprised to find these posted on Gizmodo of all places. XD I would never buy the hemp denim in a million years. Hemp is just an eco-friendly cash-grab that appeals to environmentalists, hippies and potheads, but the quality for denim is just not there. I haven't seen the silk yet, but I'm not sure how it could be terribly different in terms of feel from the cashmere denim. The ones that do interest me are the "Red-Core" jeans. I mean c'mon, red fades? That sounds pretty awesome.

[Quote] Agreed. Samurai's are a little overpriced for sure, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a better quality denim.

It's already been said above, but there is no reason to sandpaper your raw denim. I understand that people that do use sandpaper want that pre-distressed look along with the quality of selvedge denim, but I personally believe that if you pre-distress your denim, then you're not going to be wearing them everyday and thus you won't need to have selvedge quality. You're much better off buying Abercrombie & Fitch, True Religion, Rock Revival, Boss, Armani Jeans, or D&G if you want decent looking pre-distressed fades (please note: of course there are no better fades than wearing a pair of raws every day, but the brands I've listed above I have all purchased in the past prior to my "raw denim ONLY days," and I have found that their fades are well done as far as pre-distressing goes). Please, if you're gonna have pre-distressed denim, let the pros do it for you. Otherwise, remain a denim purist and stay raw.

Samurai is far superior quality. The only thing that would come close is if you got one of N&F's collabs, like the Oni Denim or Momotaros. But still, I might say Samurai's are better than even those. Regular N&F's are actually kinda bad quality, and APC's are ok but Samurai trumps them both for sure. Btw, why the double-post? ;)

[Quote] Those are looking pretty nice! Honeycombs are solid, fades are looking nice, stacks are a nice length and in order, etc. The repair work on the crotch was nicely done, as well. Care to post any fit pics so we can see how the fades match up with your build?

Hey guys, did APC change their fits for Spring/Summer 2012? I was checking out Context, and it looks like the measurements are different for the [URL]. It looks like the NS is now roomier (larger thigh, knee, and leg opening) whereas the PS is no longer vanity sized. Is this true, or did Context just flub on their measurements?
