STANDARD BOUTIQUE: ATLANTA

So last week i went to atlanta for a work trip and did some research and come up on Standard. So I called up the store and expecting to get an asshole like at most stores the guy was refreshingly pleasant and had ill customer service. I asked if we could get a cab back to the hotel and he said "if you cant i will call you one and you guys can chill till it gets there". Well it was only 10 minutes from the hotel and we pulled up. Walked in i told him i was the guy that called. He greated us and was mad cool. He pulled out all the new shit and layed it out told us what he liked what he wasnt feeling. Everything in the store was retail prices. Unbelievable prices to be exact.... I copped a pair of g-star's for 99$!!! on sale of course; one of the new nike polka split zip windbreakers for 95$ and a hoodie from a french company that has a diamond pattern in a few colors very ill.... We wound up chillin in the store for over an hour or more watching tv and chillin while we waited for our cab..... anyways i just wanted to post this up to give the store and the owner and his employee props for being the most welcoming street wear boutique I have ever been in.... if your anywhere in the ATL look up Standard and stop in.. you wont be sorry........

FASHION STYLE ON NET VS IN THE STREETS GET OFF THE HYPETRAIN

Ok so something I think about from time to time regarding hype and fashion / style on the internet. Ok its like this I live in Baltimore its not the biggest city but it is a major city none the less. The street style brands are not popular here. Recently I have seen crooks and castles popping up but none of the other brands really. One of the points im trying to make is that so many times I hear people on Hypebeast, NSB, ISS, and other online message boards say comments like. The all over print is so over with. Matching your kicks to your shirt / hat is retarded and so fourth i think you guys get what im trying to say. What im trying to say is that yeah it seems like its played out on the internet world but honestly I dont see people even rockin ill kicks or gear around the area or even in DC for that matter. I have but seen a handfull of all over shirts and barely any LTD or hard to find sneakers besides your normal sb's or other shit that is easy to find. I want to hear peoples thoughts on this... What sparked this is the re release of the chain gang hoody and what i heard people say about that. No one I have ever seen in MD or DC has rocked that hoody so im fuckin happy they are re releasing so i dont have to pay a rape price to get my hands on that shit....... I think you see what im getting at played out on the net maybee but not in the streets... Maybe if you live in NYC.......... post your thoughts peaceeee ps.. today i rocked those hawaii sb's with a diamond co all over print that has red in it and my o's hattttt fuck what yah heard my shit is freash tongueface
