My friend Errol put the music together. I've just handled the Art Direction and PR. I thoroughly enjoyed this mixtape from start to finish. Mid way through I was just blown away by his progression. Errol did a great job of mapping his growth out one track at a time.

^ All the songs on the tape are from before 'Culdesac'. It's really a project to bring people who never listened to him before 'Culdesac' up to speed.

I haven't posted in here in awhile. When I ran WDIR, I showed these guys love. And seeing these guys up on Madbury brought me back to my activity a couple years ago. I know Odd Future's whole thing, at least on the surface, is fuck everybody, but Congratulations. I remember awhile back when one of Tyler's close friends passed, and he went split his heart and soul in a blog post. It was that at that moment that I knew that things were going to happen for him. After the fall of WDIR, we never kept in touch. We didn't need to. But again, congrats to the whole Odd Future Movement.

Jesus Walks as a concept was Rhymefest's. It was supposed to be a collaboration, and instead Kanye cut Rhymefest from the track. I'm sure this was nothing shady. It was just a good guy move from a great emcee to his friend. Kanye needed a dope and controversial record like that. It sucks that Rhymefest was cut from it, for reasons that are really unknown, but it happened, and it work out great for 'Ye.

The beat was great. The hook was lazy as fuck. The repitition of the first bars lazy as fuck. I swear I thought I was going to get a full on Blueprint Jay. The track has it's moments, but the whole shit was mostly filler.

^ Drake's material is definitely single ready. Overlooking him as a mainstream artist would be just plain ignorant. As far as being a legend, if people like Jay-Z can do it so can people like Drake. It might not be the traditional legend, and he might not be a hip hop legend at all, but musically speaking he could achieve that level of greatness. Hip Hop is diversifying, and it just has to be accepted. K-OS is a great Hip Hop artist, and mind you he sings all over his material. Does singing make an artist less Hip Hop? I would argue no, and it would be illogcal to think so.

I always thought Desmond had a huge role, but I think the islands finally done with him. Same with Walt, they hype that kid to be the second coming. I think we have closure on Walt, Desmond, Bernard & his wife, and the dog.

I liked it, and I never fucked with Star Trek before this. Captain Kirk is that dude, but Spock FTW! for macking up the black broad. *Spolier-esque* The only things that was weird was seeing Nimoy in the future not acting like he was god's gift to life. I thought that was Spock's whole MO?
