KAWS | The Long Way Home Exhibition Los Angeles

yeah actually, in my backpack, i had a kaws stormship trooper that i lined up for in aoyama and everything...i figured if he wouldn't sign that, he wouldn't sign anything, since that's one of his more rare toys....funny though, i saw this kid after me try to get him to sign his totally fake ass whispy and kaws was like "no way" haha. i've met a lot of people and i usually don't care about autographs, but KAWS being his name and where his art started, it would have been cool if he would have dropped a piece of his art on my trooper....but what can you do. still, i don't blame him...signing autographs all the time gets old.

KAWS | The Long Way Home Exhibition Los Angeles

haha modernart, i'm totally in that night shot outside...the dude on the left wearing the backpack. i knew i HAD to meet kaws, so i actually was waiting in line, eventually said "fuck it" and talked to the 2 girls at the door...after some convincing, and maybe due to the fact that i had an (legit bought from the store in aoyama) old school original fake shirt on, she eventually said under her breath "just go in when we let the next group of people in" ....so i stood there at the door for a while and just walked in...felt bad for the group of friends i left behind, but they're not big kaws fans anyways. kaws was a nice guy and talked to anyone who approached him. obviously the gallery kicked ass. i'm gonna admit that i think it KINDA sucks how easy original fake stuff is to cop now...seeing all the kids with their JPP or xmas OF shirts was kinda lame, but what can you do? I'll still support it. -RyanPJT
