if most of us had a few stacks we could design and produce menswear or anything else.....but anybody without investors pretty much has to start out as a t-shirt company, nothing wrong with that

i suggest everybody try to get out to as many events as you can...it might cost you a few bucks but you'll hopefully make it back and if not, the experience and exposure definitely has a lot of value [Image]

jake, you're killing me bro. everything you post is usually very well designed but half of it is nothing more than completely unmodified fonts from http://www.losttype.com/ ...but then again i guess it's only people like me who will notice shit like that (professional web designer for several years now)

haven't posted in a minute...here's what we've been up to! just finished a quick lookbook over the weekend, very satisfied with the turnout...a couple of the pics: [Image] as for the discussion about logo tees and limited runs....i dont see the harm in starting with a small run of logo tees, you'll probably be able to get them out to your friends at the very least and start exposing it...and dont try to kid yourself and say you are printing 25-50 shirts because it's a "limited run"....it's because you know you can't sell more than that, if even that, and it's all you can afford. we're all in the same boat! start small and grow!

there's no proven method...you can start with 1 shirt...order 12 sell em and order 24 more...sure it helps but you dont NEED to come out the gate with a full line of clothes, big website, lookbooks and all that

yeah i'm sure it was a total coincidence but both those logos are very similar...the dots, the T....stuff does look clean though

[Quote] I agree with what he said about the design - looks clean but doesn't give us much. Is it really that small on a t-shirt all alone? Dead center?? That could look a little weird. My only other suggestion would be to scrap that logo you put on the pic...I had no idea what the hell the brand was til I saw it in your signature. That's just a mess of letters man nothing cohesive at all.

i can appreciate that feedback. playing it safe? probably a little bit, but i think when youre in the early stages there is a line you have to walk with that. and these pics were a little half assed, i admit it haha the brand is called just LGNDS. when we opened up the first store we wanted to use LEGENDS but as a brick and mortar business we didnt want to run into issues with other businesses using similar names (think sports bars, etc) so the vowels got dropped i am going to take some of this advice into consideration for sure, the website http://www.shopLGNDS.com is updated pretty frequently but i'm going to put more effort into blogging about events/shows in the area and things like that. thanks all
