Friends, Romans, degenerates...how's everyone doing?

[Quote] It's a strong likelihood for that piece but realistically it wouldn't be until Fall 2013 that we would have enough time and be right time of year to put it out. We are aiming for Spring 2013 for the first cut and sew piece. Would be reissue off the blocks we have from our Made in the USA collections. The debate at the office has been to not touch the original or to tweak it. Thoughts?

Time to clear some things up. It's been interesting seeing the conversation evolve and how much misinformation is mixed in there with some legit truths. The opinion based parts of the discussion I'll leave be, each person is entitled to their own opinion such as liking or not liking the direction of the company. I say company here and not brand because as a brand we have not really been progressing. That is a deliberate business decision and not a creative one. Our failure as a company was the issue in the past, not failure as a brand (evident by the fact that years after it's death, we are still here talking about it). Triumvir remains 333% independent; so no, Karmaloop doesn't own any piece nor does anyone else. It is owned by a parent company which I setup and am majority owner. It took me and some friends almost 2 years after the original crew left to dig Triumvir out of it's financial hole then begin to reorganize the business itself. As most on here know, I work on a few brands currently (CKDOUT & Orisue) so I'm not as hands on in day to day activities like before; that being said, the current team and I meet weekly so I'm always involved with each decision we make (and I stand the fuck by it right or wrong). It is true that the founding creative force behind Triumvir have moved on and we still see each other at gatherings but that's life and we all get to choose for ourselves. I hear some of you on here complain about prices of goods, either they are new fans that didn't know how much our shit use to cost or they are old supporters that forgot. We specifically made the decision not to wholesale to shops and other retailers, this actually allowed us to bring down the price of our goods. Tees use to be $34 - $36 MSRP and now it's $28. Yes the prints are pricey but they were not cheap to make, we tested some cheaper places and would have been able to sell those at $100 - $150 but the quality sucked and for me that wasn't good enough. I hear some say they are now getting older and more into grown shit, well they must not be that grown if all they're looking for is another tee. I grew up and have my own place and office now so I want art that isn't from an Ikea and drinkware that doesn't look like something my 6th grade teacher had. I sure as hell don't want some Urban Outfitters' hipster cup either. We simply went and made shit we liked and wanted in our life. If you don't like it or can't afford it, don't buy it. We charge reasonable margins based on how much it costs us to make and what the general market price is, go do some comparison shopping and see for yourselves. Let's not forget that this has to be a business first guided by those principles and mechanics for it to be sustainable. Add the fact that we have no funding behind us so all we're able to do is continually make small investments based on performance. We have been talking more and more about new designs and starting to re-release some cut and sew to start, perhaps with minor tweaks in fabrication, etc. However these things take an extraordinary amount of resources to accomplish so we have to be on firm footing to be ready for it. Design wise I still continue to work closely with Vincent and Mikey so really it's the same group of people with a few new ones and a few old ones gone. It is a bit disappointing to hear that a few fans feel they are being milked but if there's one thing working on Triumvir for so many years has taught me is you can't please everybody nor should you try. We are who we are, that's how it's been and how it will be. Anyone got real brass balls feel free to make me an offer to purchase Triumvir and we'll see how well you can run it smokeyface

I've been following this lively discussion and would like to respond shortly. Sorry but has been a busy week and weekend which is why I haven't jumped in as of yet. I also have a surprise that was planned for you our HB community back at our meeting so stay tuned troopers...

[Quote] We need to fix that, there shouldn't be sales tax on that item since we're selling credits. @overtheradar Please be sure to get that taken care of, thanks.

(EDITED) Really enjoying the process of 'waking the brand'. I'd like to do a HB forum exclusive tee and will need you guys' help on it. I'm thinking of reworking the World Tour graphic and put the handles of our HB loyalist base on the shirt. The graphic concept is just a thought but I want to do the shirt. I'll need to secure a list of names that belong on the tee though first and foremost. Can we get this list started here? If there are notable members that are no longer active that you remember throw that out as well (might do something with that, who knows).

Ahahahahahaha shit is hilarious! Had to jump back into the forum for this one you crazy fucks. Sorry been MIA, the tradeshow season gets a bit crazy (btw peep the Orisue video of Magic). The dust is settling and we're getting ready to begin phase 2 of the return. I see lots of great ideas here for upcoming retro releases and am excited that we're beginning to talk new designs and projects. A team has formed and they have been doing a tremendous job with very limited resources, hopefully you guys see the difference from just a couple of months ago. We are bringing Triumvir back 333% independently so each and everyone of our fans is a part of the return. You see each little thing we add and improve, step by step. So to all my friends, 'Romans' & countrymen....I say thank you for making Victory or Death stand for something. PS My collection will be organized and shot to be put up for sale, but some key pieces will be held back so we can one day retro them.

Our website is still being worked on, we've been tinkering with it ourselves so things are not 100% yet. Sorry about that. We are down to make arrangements for local pickup, email customer@triumvir.com to work that out. We'll get shipping refunded to those that pick it up. Also we're looking into the shipping rates and seeing how to get that adjusted as well for future orders. Appreciate everyone bearing with us as we get things together. For anyone that can't get their order in, also email customer@triumvir.com and let us know what you're trying to order and we'll get that worked out with you as well.

No plans for new designs as of yet. Been thinking about potentially lining up some small collab projects in the future. Oh yea the release is now live, hope you guys like! ~Victory or Death

We are breaking up the capsules so items can be purchased individually. Not sure if it's done yet but will be by this Thursday for release for sure.

Frunk we are only offering tees in black. Had a good meeting with some heads last night. Getting a small squad together to help out so hopefully we can start getting back to people quicker.

Haha can't be mad at the lack of updates jab from Illest1! Life is pretty crazy with running marketing at Orisue then trying to do CKDOUT along with my promotional items company and keeping up with Triumvir. I've brought on help to stay focused on the Triumvir stuff though. I'll be introducing him to the community next week. Regarding re-releases our plan is to continue reissues but expand the categories offered. By keeping it strictly direct to customer business we're able to deliver our items to you guys at reasonable prices. Plus it keeps us totally independent to do as we please. Collectors that wish to distinguish between OG releases and reissues should be able to know the difference pretty easily since tags are going to be transitioned to screen printed down the line. Cut and sew is more of a dreamy eyed discussion round here for now. Unless we can get a decent amount pre-ordered we wouldn't be able to just do it at this point. Keep supporting our drops and that day will come, I still have the designs and patterns so wouldn't be a stretch to dust those off eventually. Hope this answers some of the questions.
