timeline: 6 months 2-3 times a week. wash/soak 6 months 5-6 times a week. I have been feeling slight breezes into my ass crack which makes me check to make sure it didn't rip. Anyways, thinking if I should wash soon again.. the crotch area is definitely thinning and you can see some small areas that might rip in the long-run ... Weird thing is, you can't really see the fades as prominent as I wished.. [Image] Sorry, it was a gloomy cold day so might look weird.

Results Thanks for all your opinions, since it's super hot where I am currently, I decided to wash them. Now, it's my first time doing this, so I did the following. Lukewarm water 1st line of laundry detergent. Moved around and soaked for 30min Rinse x 2 Flipped inside out 1st line of laundry detergent. Moved around and soaked for 30 min. Rinse x 2 Hang dry outside in the sun! I kind of see a LITTLE bit of lost indigo, but nothing too intense. I will be wearing them in September when the weather get's cooler and hopefully wear it everyday till December/January. Here are some pictures: Before: [Image] Hopefully, the next time I wash it, I will have more fades! First pair of Raw Denim so ...I'm inexperienced!

I see what you guy's mean, but I don't think I can bear the smell/ nor air it out (korean bbq is intense) or stick it in the freezer since my freezer smells as well haha. Oh well, I guess it will be an experiment! Thanks for all the replies

Questionable wash So, I've had my frankenstein denim since dec26 2010 and I've worn them till now. So, that's around 7 months without wash. At first they were really tight around my thighs and lil loose around my calf to ankle. From wearing it for 7 months I did not wear them everyday. I probably wore them once or twice a week since I don't go out often and I also have other raws as well. Anyways, in these 7 months I can't really see any crazy noticeable fades prior to washing. But i did notice that they became softer and less constricting and tight. Also, I am a little worried that it will turn out weird since I've had dogs scratch my jeans when they get excited and also me scratching my jeans cause.. Well, your legs itch sometimes haha. Some things I tried to do was put a ring in my back pocket to make a circle fade, which turned out okay? I haven't seen any other frankenstein fades at all and I think that I may be the first. The weird thing is, my ring fade is white while most of my fades on the jeans are dark blue. I'm not sure if that's cause I havent worn them enough or if it's just 'cause', but , again, it's really hard to get fades behind the knee as well as stacks. I would probably continue wearing them, however I had Korean BBQ tonight and that shit stank ma denimz. I will take before and after pics when the weather gets better. Hope it turns out well! Cheers! Sorry for any misspelled and unreadable English, I'm typing this on my iPhone..

[Quote] I will be washing mine soon. I have worn them since January of this year. But, I haven't worn them everyday... Just occasionally. They are unconfy as hell! Also, I am inexperienced in raw denim, so when I scratched my thigh a couple times, I could see some streaks in the denim ? :S Hopefully they turn out okay. I don't see a large fade contrast on the jean yet for some reason.. So I may wear them out a little longer. Anyone have suggestions on how to get them to fade more? Also, has anyone bought the reverse fade denim? I heard that the resin coat makes it look a little weird....and I am also curious to how easy the fades are

Well said CBOOM and I totally agree to that. However, what amazes me is the amount of sneakers that are being sold out on the first day they are released in present time. Somehow, there are still people out there that are still interested in buying something they sought after. Yes, I just said that we are only specializing in kicks, but again, we are still planning this whole thing out.

[Quote] Actually, I am a 4th year business student and, actually, yes I have already planned out the leasing, bills, and all the other costs associated with running this business. Thanks for your concern. We are still planning everything out so that it runs perfectly when we prepare to launch. The only reason we haven't been following our planning schedule is because we have been learning about other stores that may be opening in the lower mainland and we are figuring out how that would affect us. Keep in mind that we are also in our latter stages in University so it is not all lovey dovey in terms of workloads. Thanks for all the comments though. blushing

This store would only specialize in kicks and maybe a small quantity of apparel. The store would take out a small portion, enough for the store to advertise and sell, and enough for the seller to make a profit. Both parties win! smokeyfaceblushing
