Buy & Sell Thread // Toronto

Selling my one year old Red Wing Chukka boots simply because they are too big. Size 8.5 but fit like a 9.5-10 US. Worn about 90x last winter. Cleaned and moisturized with leather care products (clear so they did not darken the cherry-red colour) before wearing, halfway through the season, and after the winter season. Only worn on non-rainy/non-snow days. Already broken in so you don't have to suffer blisters and sores on your feet for a month. These boots are built like a truck in North America so expect to keep them around for 10 years with proper maintenance. Super soft leather with a subtle sheen. Bought from Get Outside Shoes. Don't have receipt but if you want I can call them up to confirm purchase. I'm using the cash to get another pair in the correct size. Amazing product.  $100 firm. Don't be that guy with the brand new boots, get them broken in so it looks more authentic/vintage and you save $140 plus taxes. PM for contact info.  Can meet at York, UofT, Ryerson, Yorkdale, Eaton Centre, or any TTC subway station from Downsview to Union. listing: [URL]

After rocking low tension denim (PBJs) for a few months, I'm almost certain my next pair will be something way more smooth (momotaro). It was really cool rubbing my hands on my pants for the first two weeks because the fabric is just insane but I'm kind of past the rough texture now and just want something silky soft. I think the Blue Owl collab is made by ONI. It should be easy to tell from the inside labels once pics are up.

[Quote] Don't worry too much. My pant size is 28x28 so when I don't want stacks I always get my raws hemmed to a 28. The leg opening is a bit wider, like 8 inches vs 6.9 leg opening at 35 inch inseam. You can get your pants tapered - a tailor will open the seam and take out fabric to make it narrower and recreated the original shape. At a larger pant size, you'll have to make compromises. Either lose weight so you can fit into a smaller size or deal with it.

[Quote] I honestly think you should get a Slim Guy / Regular Guy fit then have it tapered. I understand it might be "a lot of work" but it's probably the only option. I'm pretty sure both the Slim Guy and Regular Guy cuts are available in Deep Indigo. BlueOwl and Tate and Yoko will hem the jeans to the proper inseam for you so don't worry about the length.

[Quote] Ugh, I have such a bittersweet relationship with Ele2s. They fade really well but the fabric color is just terrible and the back pockets are massive. Amazing job with the fades though.
