^ That's correct. And just to make it clear, most folks use IB as a stepping stone to better gigs after 2-3 years.

Bump to the topic. What's everybody doing this summer (to those younger folks)?

Also, what are your parents saying about this? Will be they footing the bill or will you be taking on debt? You should sit down with your parents and also consider your brother's situation as well. Just know that if you do choose Stern, you have to have a game plan and not be a fuccboi for 4 years. It's all in from day one until you snag that coveted IB role as kmz mentioned above. With Stern's awesome network, caliber, and location, you can definitely do what other NYU homies I know did (e.g. intern during school semesters, set up meetings, etc.).

Good topic as my little brother is going through the same situation. Honestly? I don't think +$200k of debt is a smart choice. You know how long that'll take to pay off? Add to the fact that most NYU Stern folks I know hated their experience there, I think you should look at other avenues. What's your next best option? Also, your brother is going to college soon as well. That's another weight on your family.

How's everyone's final acceptances looking? My little brother got into Indiana, Villanova, Fordham, and Rutgers. We're all sitting down to decide which as he didn't get money to any except Rutgers.

This thread has me reminiscing, wondering what happened to all my friends back in junior high, who I just lost contact with. If anything, this inspires me to try to find them (even though most aren't on FB).
