The Official Uniqlo Thread

Couldn't find newer Uniqlo thread so I'll use this one. About to purchase Uniqlo raw selvedge jeans in regular fit. Not 100% sure about sizing. My Uniqlo vintage regular fit chinos fit me perfectly in size 33x34. Should I thus buy the selcedge jeans in 33x34 as well? Or take 34x34 or 34x36 to take into account possible shrinkage when washing, stiffness of the denim compared to chinos etc? Thanks in advance.

Fit Thread (for denim FAQ)

Im looking for a fit that has room in the top block, is tapered and has a mid rise. Kind of like weird guys, but with higher rise and slight more taper. Can somebody help me? Preferably in the pricerange of tellasons/rogue territory/naked&famous.

How much wider the weird guys are in the thigh area compared to skinny guys? My hemp blends in size 32 are feeling slightly too tight for my liking after I started to go to the gym and now Im thinking about purchasing els suvin weird guys to get a more comfortable fit. I know that the weird guys are supposed to be wider in the thigh area, but looking at the tate+yokos measurements chart, it seems that the weird guys are only 0,75 inches wider on the upper thigh area in size 32. The skinny guys are wearable but id like to get a more comfortable fit for the summer. Should I get a size 32 or 33 weird guys to get a more roomier fit? Im looking for a slim yet relaxed fit which I can get tapered down from the knee. I usually wear size 32 in other brands. the fit of my skinny guys is close to this fit: [Image]

[Quote]I think it's just the deep indigos. I have been thinking exactly the same about my hemp blends :D.. They have faded more in less than 4 months than deep indigos did in almost a year of wear.

[Quote]The color loss isn't really my main concern since I'm thinking about a 30min soak in cold water, I'm more afraid that the soak will shift the creases since they have had so little time to settle. But cold soak inside out would slow down the tearing process in the crotch area right? Thanks for the input!

The crotch of my hemps is starting to form these light blue/almost white spots, which will probably turn into holes in a few months and later on into crotch blow. Im considering about giving them a cold soak to prevent the blow-out from happening in the future or at least to give them more time. My only concern is that I have worn them for only 3.5 months and usually my jeans haven't touched water before 6-12 months of wear. Any thoughts or advices? Maybe from now on I'll give my new raws an initial soak or something...

[Quote] Yes, they will pay for shipping. But since the seam was only ripped open by the threads(no damage on the fabric, threads had only became undone), and only for 5centimeters, it should not be a big deal. Just sew the seam back in for 5cm's, will cost around 5-10 euros, take 5 minutes and I wouldn't have to wait. I don't know, not yet sure what to do. Since N&F are just going to do the same exact thing as the tailor would, I guess I'll rather pay the tailor 10bucks to do the same thing but a lot faster. pic: [Image]

My hemp blends ripped from the seam below the fly. Didn't see that one coming since these were only 3 weeks old and TTS. Send N&F an email and they said that they can repair them for free, if I send the jeans to canada(I live in Finland).. I think I'll just take them to tailor since shipping them to canada and waiting for them to get back will take so much time and effort.

[Quote] My WG deep indigos didn't stretch more than half an inch. They were a bit too tight in the beginning and they stretched to the point where they are comfortable, yet can be worn without a belt. But sometimes I wish that they were a bit looser on the waist. On the other hand, the tighter they are, the more stress you put in them. The more stress you put in them, the more they will stretch. And if you like the fit yourself, then the fit is good. Personally, I wouldn't size down on skinny guys, especially not on heavier denim.

Got my hemp blends in last thursday. The main reason to go with hemps was that I heard they are really comfortable. As I didnt wear my deep indigos as much as other raw denims that I have owned, mainly due to their stiffness combined with the slim/skinny fit. They were just not comfortable enough to wear everyday, and they felt too restrictive to do stuff in them.. Thats why I was really happy to find out that the hemp blends were much more comfortable even when brand new, than deep indigos after over a year of wear. Hemps are lighter, but not too light. Hemp seems to be pretty stretchy material, since they feel almost like they were stretch denim. They are also really breathable. After six days of wear, they have stretched out a bit, and got a tad softer. They have really beautiful color and texture to them. Some people have said that they are itchy at first, but I didn't really notice anything after the first hour. Heres some evo pics of the deep indigos. Pics are kinda crappy because lighting sucked and I had to place them near the window to get at least kind of true colors to the pics. Worn for about 1year on and off. Gave them a short cold soak this summer. [Image] tinypic automatically rotated these... Hemps are sized 32, and 32 is my normal jean size. Sized up two from weird guy deep indigos(sz30) and they fit pretty similar on the thighs(though they still have some strecth in them), but have bigger waist by one inch. I tapered a bit of the stacking part of the jeans because the stacks made them look like they were bootcut. Sorry for my english skillz.
