well, i tried to sell my bike because i thought it just wasnt or me and i'd stick to mtn bikes, but i just cant seem to part with it.i bought it as is, and i really got a good deal, but its not customized to my style.just started tonight, plan to finish it this week. originally black frame, silver dp18 wheels, blue chain and blue pedal straps, black bars and grips.. i plan on adding some color, im thinking flat black with lime green, my only problem is the wheels are brand new, so i don't want to buy another new set just for the color, anyone know of a shop in san diego that would trade or put mine towards a new set? ill post the progress, sorry for quality i took it on my mac photobooth [Image]

[Quote] im not trying to bash anyone that is seriously into fixies-but stick with a mtn. bike- i was the same way you are, I love the look of those things and think they are awesome, I bought one, mainly for the looks and I don't like it-i mean it's fun to ride and I like it, but I love riding downhill mtn. bikes and was looking at buying a new one ionstead i bought the fixie and i really wish i would have bought a new mtn bike....anyways its up to you, but until you ride one for awhile and get used to it for yourself, i would seriously suggest a different style of bike, especially when its your only transportation..or possibly a single speed you could later convert into a fixed.

[Quote] like i said i bought it off someone,im pretty sure it is an old 10 speed frame-but what does that have to with anything, track or not? and why shoudl you have to race track in order to gte involved with fixies in cali?
