[Quote] Word, $8.00 is super legit. I was paying $15.00 - $20.00 to develop and scan at pro labs when I was living in Florida so $13.00 isn't too bad for me.

i go to photo plus in san francisco and i pay $13.00 per roll to develop and scan. out of all of the spots in SF, they seem to do the cleanest job and theyre cheaper than a lot of the other options. looking to get an epson v600 this year to save some money on scanning.

i generally shoot with an automatic point and shoot (stylus epic) and a manual slr (nikon fe2). a manual slr is crucial if you are taking action shots. your eos 650 should get the job done. you need to shoot around 1/500 or higher if you are not using a flash (using 800 iso film makes it easier to shoot at higher shutter speeds). if you are shooting with a flash then use whatever iso film you have and set the shutter to 1/125 (eos 605's highest sync speed). if you want something different than the eos 650 i would suggest a canon ae1 or a nikon fe2/fm2.
