[Quote] Only put what is relevant to the job you are applying for. I am a clinical supervisor at a special needs ABA agency and I screen and interview ABA interventionists. When I see "barista", "receptionist", "waitress", etc on someone's resume, I don't care much for it. When I see "Currently obtaining B.A. in psychology, classes taken: 'Abnormal Psychology, Statistics, Comparative Psychology'", or "Objective: gain more knowledge and experience to better serve disabled individuals"; I put those resumes on top. Edit: if you guys have questions in the Psychology field, I can hopefully answer them. I have my M.S in psychology and am a prelicensed MFT in the ABA field.

I earned my B.A in Psychology and M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy. I got into my grad program because of my GPA, undergrad research/publication, and years of volunteering. I don't regret where I am at. I love working with children / adults / families that need help. I also get paid well and have a job with great benefits. This field, just like social work, is not for everyone, and burnout is high compaired to other fields.

[Quote] Yeah, I've always had HMO under my parents plan and it was a pain bugging my primary Dr. for that referal for a specialist. I might just keep the PPO for the sake of convience even though there is a 5K deductable.

What up fam. I recently scored a salaried position at work. They are offering me Blue Shield PPO (very low tier) which is covered completely by my job. Or I can switch and pay $33 extra for Blue Shield HMO. Any advise would be great.

There is basically no negotiation if you have zero experience, but; -Research your career starting salary, so you know your high end and low end, and so you dont get low balled. -You will be given an offer and you have the oppertunity to counter. Be realistic. Why should your employer give you $X? What do you bring to the company? Why are you valuable? Do you need to be trained and why?  -Most employers will give you a 5% increase in pay (salary and wage) if you just ask.  But this is just my experience.
