[Quote] I don't know if it's still going on, but if it is, I'd imagine that it's subject to approval of your old APCs. If you bring in some pair of NS, for example, with "dad" fades, I doubt they'll take them.

[Quote] I'm interested. How much have you worn them?

[Quote] Probably not at all.

[Quote] I'm pretty sure that the XX-013 is a BiG exclusive, so unless you find it secondhand somewhere, you'll probably have to pay full price for it there. Also, AFAIK, BiG is the only North American retailer for PBJ, so unless you are willing to look overseas, that's pretty much your only option.

I know Denim Doctors charges about $45 for a taper, but they taper on the inseam so that you don't lose the selvage ID.

[Quote] The 007 is slim, but it is considered a straight leg cut. The 011 and 013 are PBJ's slim tapered models.

[Quote] Yes, the one wash is mainly to get the shrinkage out.

[Quote] I haven't worn either cut in a couple of years, but when I owned a pair of XX-013s, they ran really big. I had to size down 2 from my actual waist measurement just to keep them from being really baggy right from the get-go. I think they've changed the cut since then, they may not run as big anymore.

[Quote] I don't think there's a huge difference between the two brands. Both are high-end Japanese denim brands that mostly use slubby, unsanforized denim. PBJ generally uses lighter weight denim and costs a little bit less than Samurai, and Samurai uses heavier weight denim and generally has nicer cosmetic details. Both are excellent brands, you can't go wrong with either one.

[Quote] I would just start wearing them, they'll stretch out with wear.

[Quote] Only when they are doing a sale.

Replied in Small DENIM Questions Thread, 2 Weeks ago in Denim

[Quote] I bought those, and I would say that they are a very good deal at the sale price, but I don't think I'd want to pay any more for them than that. As you can see from the pics, they are higher-waisted straight leg, not a slim fit. I sized down 2 from my actual waist measurement on them.

[Quote] PBJ makes a better jean but will cost more too. If it is within your price range, I would personally go with PBJ.
