the juice store i think is supposed to be open till the 14th, but it was closed when i went by today. Hopefully left foot will reopen after lunar new year. A Bape Pirate store has just opened, very recently -today i guess- seemed like they were still putting stock out. OK i guess - fair amount of stock, seemed more expensive than the BWS but i was double parked and in a rush so only had a quick look, only found it by accident/luck. Its on Ren Ai Lu not far from BWS. Levis have opened a "concept shop" its on Jhong Xiao kind of diagonaly-right across from california gym - around the DaAn area (a minute or so from ADi Originals store/hot dog/etc. it didnn't seem to be any different to the regular levis store a couple of doors down. CLS is carrying the nike FCRB line. Adi Originals store had plenty of starwars kicks. Too hot for shopping today couldn't be arsed tbh. The Cai Guo Qiang retrospective at TFAM was excellent though, highly recommended. Picked up a print and photo so happy with that.

not been on here for like forever but back in taiwan at the min so thought i'd see whats happening - nothing by the look of it, ha ha. Noticed there is a new chain of 'street' stores here called 'million boys club' which made me chuckle, probably doesn't sound so gay in Chinese. CLS has improved no end since i left taiwan. Lot of nice stuff today. Added soph, nbhd, wtaps, nexusVii to its already pretty impressive list of brands. Although didn't see any vizvim? They still carry it? --------------------- [I]@skyrocket: i went from bape/cls to phantaci today and it took me 10-20 minutes or so - i was a bit early and most of the stores i wanted weren't open so i didn't really stop. If you were wandering looking in shops etc i would say 1/2 a day is easily enough. Don't go to Da-an too early most shops don't pen before 2 and on weekdays it seems they randomly don't open at all. If you come out of phantaci turn right and immediately right again -so coming down the hill- you are basically heading into the Da-an district (the area brizzle refers to as zhongxiao district - JX runs the length of taipei, its not a district! [/rant]). So leftfoot/faith/undercover/hotdog/nikeid/etc/etc/etc are in and around the cluster of small streets. If you keep walking straight down the hill the first major intersection you come to is dun hua nan lu. Its probably 5 or 6 small blocks down. When you hit dun hua just turn left and go straight for about 3-4 blocks and you'll hit the ren ai lu intersection (can't miss it, the only roundabout in taipei and its got grass n trees growing in the middle). CLS is on your left (next to swansens) and BWS is on the right over the road. @whoever asked where to eat in zhong xiao: there are like a million places you can get anything you want but if you want to try something taiwanese go for Soup dumpling ('Xiao Long Bao'). The most famous place is 'Din Tai Fung' There is one on Jhong Ziao and one in Xinyi [URL] Address : 台北市大安路一段51巷46號1樓 [Image] some other stores/adresses/etc as i'm feeling generous! With chinese text where possible. ALLENBLUE (NIKESB) 台北市中正區汀州路三段305號 02-2369-9239 PHANTACI 台北市忠孝東路四段223巷63號 02-8773-1426

Never used it and its probably pish but you could try the foreigners helpline 0800-024-111 Says they speak English and that "National Police Agency cares about you" on their business card. They're website [URL] seems to be dead which doesn't bode well

Man the police are a joke on Taiwan i wouldn't waste your time tbh Savag3. I'll ask around, might be able to help, you got any more details of the shop? Brizzle - i got lucky, everyone else in my division was married so didn't want to travel overseas too much + i ended up in Asia blushing You at UWE? I kind of miss Bristol, its a cool city I'll look out for those jeans - you mean the devilock ones + what size? A mate has a pair of Surrender Denims up for sale as they were too small (there about 30-32", Raw Blue, bought in Singapore), he's looking for 80quid shipped which is about 1/2 the price of dpmhi. I think he's put them on ebay if anyone wants the link [/shamelessplug] Calistyles - the red area is just an arrow pointing to Summit (who did the map) Da-an is a pretty good area to explore - its basically the corner of jhong xiao+duan hua, theres a lot of small shops there. If you kind of walk between Adidas Originals and Phantaci there are plenty of ok places.

^ something like that. I think Kenlu is taiwan based (? ) it covers streetwear in general. 99% Chinese language though. You can usually get shop addresses in chinese there which can be handy. Thats about as far as my chinese ability goes but i sometimes look at the pics blushing Regarding the meetup we missed a trick didn't we....i was flicking through some chinese language street mag in the hardressers the other week and it mentioned there was an official Bape party in Taipei. Magazine was like a month out of date so useless now. Anyone go out of interest?

Just remembered i've seen those neon Vizvims somewhere else, i think Phantaci might resell them.

^ Magnetic carry some Vizvim kicks, V.limited stock and they are pretty pricey. Its a couple of blocks up from the old bws, think its listed on the summit map thats earlier in this thread. - For Edwin there are a few of their stores around pretty easy to spot- don't know much about the brand so couldn't say if its the same gear as JP or like 'export versions'. - For BxH there is a place in the mall opposite the 101 (called something like NY NY Mall. i think - its been a while) but it has to be fake, its way cheap and print quality just doesn't cut it.

I just got back from Tokyo, loved it and would definitely recommend. Can be difficult at times due to language, but you can get by. People were really nice and tried to help. The Subway/trains isn't bad once you get your head round it. Definitely worth getting a Suica Pass (auto pay card for subway and trains), makes trips a lot less hassle. Wish i had realised this at the start of my trip Food was great, loads to do and see. It wasn't as difficult or as expensive as i had feared. I used to live in HK and still go there sometimes but Tokyo was way better imop.
